I trust we are now going to withhold his salary until he decides to report back for training + a club fine for being a dick!
I hope he does stay but if we have to sell due to his appalling behaviour then lets hold out for £25m+. Softens the blow somewhat especially as we are making such a massive profit within 12 months of signing him.

 

Although he isn't great, I'm happy for Yoshuda to be 3rd choice CB. Get Fonte a good new partner and bring in Turnbull or someone for fourth choice. No offence to Jos, but he's poor.

So basically saying it is Lovren's agent who gave The Echo the info?

I've had an epiphany.

As we've seen, the second a rumour comes out linking one of our players away, most of the fanbase has them signed, sealed and delivered to the other club. And a good proportion of those instantly hate them. Under those circumstances, why should they show any loyalty to use, when we turn on them in a heartbeat?

This fan/player vicious circle leads to this: I no longer care who stays or goes, nor who comes in. The team is the team, and my loyalty is with the club, not it's current employees.

(said this once before, but this time, I've had a chance to think about it.)

 

Sums it up. We are fans of the club not individuals. If you dont want to play for the badge b--ger off!

 

Lovren is more with a rumour tho isn't it? As was Lallana. Not every player has been moaned at like these two. Shaw was also more then a rumour and you don't see people slagging him off.

I don't know , but it appears to me that someone is a bit week on the negotiation side .

Unless of course it IS a fire sale ( I do NOT believe that ) .

I get the feeling we negotiated more money up front, more realistic bonus clauses and a bigger sell on fee. So, not a hugely bigger fee, but a hugely more appealing one.

 

We have no obligation to sell. Tell him he's staying. End of. Selling this many players is quite frankly ridiculous, even if all the money is being reinvested. Lovren going is poking me towards the edge, if Schneiderlin goes too I'll be in full bedwetting mode. It has to stop somewhere.
