Fair play, $9 million quid is a lot and sorely needed, those players would not be top earners either.

    <ok>

And let's hope some of it is given towards the families of the three Israeli teenagers slaughtered for no better reason than being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

What has that got to do with it Donga?

To put that into context though, the US gov sends Israel $3 billion every year, and send Palestine **** all

Where was your cries when 3 Palestinian teens were killed 2 months ago, about their share of that $3 billion

This is not about the conflict, it was a nice gesture and sorely needed and only created this thread because it is kind of football related.

Very fair comment, when Brits are kidnapped or murdered or both Britain's response isn't to bomb the **** out of the accused/responsible country in retaliation, don't know how many died in the Israeli response but would guess it was more than 3.
But as you point out in football terms its a nice story and in humanitarian terms its a brilliant gesture.

It was mate. it is sorely needed. People have become cold to the Palestinian cause because they believe the lies that they are all terrorists. Bombing civilians is terrorism whether you use home made rockets or fighter jets, no difference.

Also, anyone wants to get into this ****, I know it inside out, all I will say is be prepared and check your facts. ALL my sources are Jewish and Israeli sources. be prepared for a free education.

BBC never reported on the murder of those 3 Palestinian teens 2 months ago, other news sites had the footage, just walking on a street and shot dead. For all to see, not one arrest of an IDF member.
BBC the other night on the news. And I quote "Gaza has been hit with 30 airstrikes.. Israeli is suffering" <doh>

best to let it be anyways, this is a long sad subject, not my intention to start ****.

Hopefully the Algerian example will be followed by others

Nice one by the Algerian players. Also, many of those guys do play for some big teams btw but a real nice gesture. Wasn't Drogba big on this or did something similar as well?

9 mil is going to be a massive help.

It will mate, a fair few players do their own personal thing alright, most keep it quiet for good reason, openly supporting Palestine brings trouble from certain groups if you a public figure.

I don't want to wave banners, but I've given several hundreds of pounds to Palestinian charities over the years, and will do so again. I think the deliberate targeting, kidnapping and murdering of, what amounts to, children is ****ing diabolical, even by the standards of this region.

Donga, that's fair enough mate, didn't think you were a bad sort anyways lad. And yes, most if not all of us here know that killing anyone is wrong, let alone 3 kids, no matter what their religion or ethnicity.

Did you know there has already been one revenge killing of an Arab teenager over this, tit for tat sectarian killings are a real danger now that could blow **** up big time, what is worse is when a military takes ****ing part in it, one side gets ****ing pasted with weaponry and they had **** all to do with it.
I will say, since those poor lads went missing nearly 1000 Palestinians were arrested, homes trashed, businesses trashed, several news offices trashed and equipment taken, hundreds beaten and more than 30 airstrikes carried out in Gaza. not one bit of evidence, netanyahoo immediately went public blaming Hamas when it could have been any scumbags.

Also, The burned body of a 16-year-old Palestinian boy, Muhammad Hussein Abu Khdeir, was found in a Jerusalem forest Wednesday. Nothing on the BBC about this after it's tearful gut wrenching report from Jerusalem the other night. One seriously must question the BBC's integrity, or lack of.

Is that one of your neighbours up there in the Arctic?

Fine gesture from the Algies. Reminds us that not all footballers are spoilt navel-gazers.
