Changed my mind after looking at the Newbury card. At a forecast 25/1, I like Maybe Now Baby in the 7pm Newbury. Apart from Maybe Baby being my Karaoke special, this filly didn't know what it was about on début and finished 8¼L behind Calypso Beat who has since won a decent listed race at Newmarket. She is by Kodiac, a top producer of 2yos with an excelent pedigree. The dam pedigree is pretty hot too. Her dam, Slow Jazz, is by American Ch 2yo Chief's Crown (who sired top-class 2yos in US/Europe, and Derby winner Erhaab) out of a Habitat mare. Chief's Crown was by Northern Dancer son Danzig out of a Secretariat mare. Decent pedigree all round and at 25/1 looks over priced to me. Of the newcomers in that race I like the Teofilo filly Teosroyal at 20/1 In the next race at 7.35 it has to be Shackled N Drawn after his promising 5th in a Newmarket maiden on début. Word of caution though, the winner didn't exactly frank the form at Ascot. In the final race it looks like a "w**ker bet" at the prices. Arabian Revolution 4/1 and Second Step 9/2 1 point win on each
You may want to check out BELLAJEU in that. Reported to be the best juvenile in the yard! Even better than Foxtrot Knight!
Stick knows.... I also like Shackled N Drawn, but he was thought to have breathing issues after his debut.

Hmm. Owned by the chap who set up the operation. I see Quatar Racing have 3 in it and the most fancied one is the one you mention with Olly Stevens. I expect my two (one drifted out) will end up in the last half a dozen
Good luck tomorrow Nass. Favourable comments from Timeform: Timeform says: Promise in sprint maidens, not knocked about but keeping on at Yarmouth last time. Interesting handicap debutant. Timeform View An early nursery featuring several probably capable of better than what they've shown so far. Foxtrot Knight firmly comes into that category and could leave his maiden form well behind now going handicapping. Rita's Boy and Don Sigfredo have similar profiles and are worth a look. I wonder what price he'll be. Lucky to get 2s maybe?
Im going to forgive me and my shadows last run as he was put out rather quick and the 20s today is ew friendly
On the day when Victoria Derbyshire is (apparently reluctantly) leaving Radio Five Live, wouldn't it be nice if DERBYSHIRE were VICTORIOUS in the 4.10 at Yarmouth ? (Cyc, Ron, Oddy, Swanny, other non-doms: Five Live is a rolling news-and-sport BBC radio station. Its racing coverage is a bit perfunctory these days, but by and large I'd say it's a good and reliable programme. It also has, for me, the huge advantage of being on the AM frequency). The other whatthehelldotheyexpect angle on this is that the BBC Trust (a group of people you wouldn't ever want to have a drink with) think it's deplorable that the station audience is 72% male/28% female, and "want this imbalance corrected as a matter of urgency". But it's a NEWS and SPORT channel, and those figures don't seem absurd at all - if you'd asked me to guess, I'd probably have said 85/15. At this point, some knob usually comes up with a meaningless statistic like women's soccer being the fastest growing sport in the UK. Which is like saying that the adult male IQ is rising faster in Wiltshire than anywhere else: if your base-point is low enough, anything's possible.
If he is going to win a race soon it will be tomorrow. I am needed in the office so I can't make it. Very frustrating to say the least!!
needed in the office !!!!! Must be hell of a party on a friday afternoon to want the waitress to stay back,,,,,, do they know who you are,,
I'll more than likely be migrating to radio 4 for good now given that the rather marvelous Ms Derbyshire has been replaced by the overwhelmingly unmarvelous Adrian Chiles. How that man still keeps picking up jobs is beyond me - is there anyone out there who actually likes him?
haha, very good Elwood. Something to do with servers and the like.... Very annoying but at least I will get to the pub for celebratory drinks.
Sky Bet's view of Foxtrot Knight's chances: "Owned by a dodgy syndicate who like to land a touch so take the early price" Don't know what that could mean Nass? Rainer I remember Radio Five Live in it's inception many, and I do mean many, years ago. Is Alan Green still doing the footy commentary - great commentator, has the magic touch of conveying all the passion and excitement of the game via the airwaves.
