Not saying The Echo isn't a joke. But I would have thought they would have got pretty solid info before putting up a article like this.

 

And the usually unreliable sources have apparently been unable to get things wrong this summer.

at least its Liverpool / Utd that we're selling too and not teams like everton or newcastle.

I said this in a previous thread: our hopes are riding on Gaston and Maya, let's hope they step up.

I only watched one Japan game in the World Cup (versus a 10 man Greece, who set their stall up as if a tsunami was comming), and while they were terrible, Maya was the one player who was really trying to change things (hard to do as a centre back). I think he has it in him to be a hero, though.

We know Gaston has it in him, let's hope he can harness it consistently.

 

I've just heard from Reuters than Liverpool have put in a request to the FA to have their name changed. Their new name will apparently be Southampton (Northern Branch).

Then you will have to get him to PM you...don't want him to say anything in public again.

 

And they are back in the fold...so they won't want to rock the boat too much, although I expect Katharina believes more in the freedom of the press than Nicola does.

 

Personally I've never rated Maya, hopefully he can prove me wrong though.

I guess it would be impossible to prove tapping up against Liverpool? How is it that our players are aggressively seeking moves to that club, if they haven't had promises from them already?

 

I don't think the club have ever complained about Liverpool's behaviour...they made offers and discussions ensued.

 

I wish we would just leave you lot alone, I hate raiding other clubs and I'd be pissed off if it happened to us. Plus if Lovren is doing this then he's not fit for purpose at any club and should rot in the reserves

 

Well it sounds like he's getting Debuchy. I don't expect Chambers to be leaving.

 

Handing in a transfer request is not great, but acceptable. Refusing to play crosses the line.

BUT if Lovren is going to be this way, it might do some good if he were to spell out publicly exactly what has changed to make him so disillusioned. Beyond "oh, NC left." If he cares about the club in even a small way, he could help us out by exposing what's wrong. I mean, if he's leaving anyway.

 

Arsenal are getting Debuchy.
