I can't see you playing that system minus Suarez

  3. Guess it depends who comes in but I'm inclined to agree.

Still, Lallana is an improvement IMO, just not as big a improvement as it could have been for £25m!

    532 (won't be played again!)
    Won't be 442 either!
I prefer to use the formation I used to play at the local park when I were a lad 0-0-10

Sturridge is actually very good at moving around like Suarez. Dropping wide and deep. He can hold up, turn and dribble very well. He is not quite the magician Suarez is but you dont need to be to be a top player.

Apparently Bournemouth received £4m which would equate to £16m fee for Lallana (plus add ons).

If we did pay £16-17m, that would represent good business.

  10. so they would then receive 25% of any "optional" add-ons too?

doubt it, be odd if they did.

    dif contracts.

Bournemouth just get a % of any sell on fee, i don't think extras are included, as they are not a guaranteed figure, so would be odd to include them.

  12. But surely the add-ons is still income that Southampton would be receiving due to the sale of Lallana? IMO, they would be entitled to 25% of that too. It shouldn't matter how the deal is scheduled to be paid.

For me Lallana fits well home and away.

    Home

    ---Gerrard- Hendo---
    --------Lallana--------
    Suarez--------Sterling
    --------Studge-------

    Away

    -------Gerrard-------
    ---Hendo----Lallana---
    Suarez--------Sterling
    --------Studge-------

  14. That is a massive no no for me. We saw last season and this summer that they don't work as a pairing so we should never EVER attempt it again. Gerrard isn't mobile enough and Hendo can't stand still and hold position so they are two individuals when playing like that.

They don't work as a pairing when they are the ONLY 2 in midfield, that was Roy's error. In a midfield trio I think Hendo and Gerrard can work

Why would you have 2 'holding' at home?

Think if Suarez goes I would see this , depending on who we sign

    Gerrard
    Henderson lallana/courthino
    Sterling studge. Shaqiri?/ markovic?

But a lot of interchangeable options there. Could even go lambert up top with Sturridge wide right.

Would like to see one more attacking player signed then defenders and poss DM?
And where the **** is Can?

  17. agree, hence me not highlighting the second line-up <ok>
