BBC - Liverpool make bid for Lallana - Part II

I think I'm probably going to end up getting over my resentment of Lord Twatbeard. Sure, the way he engineered a move seemed to be very twatty, but I don't begrudge him for wanting to go. The disrespectful way he has acted was out of disrespect towards the board, not towards us, and to be honest to me the jury is still out on this board. I'm not sure if I like them either.

 

I won't because I'm enjoying being united in hating someone. It's quite fun joining in with the mob mentality.

 

I'll get over it too, life's too short to bear grudges.

However, as far as I'm concerned, he showed contempt for the club and the fans, not just the board.

Haven't posted on here in a while but im sure a few dedicated members will be delighted to see my return.
I've never really liked Southampton fans if im honest, With no connection to the city just the club ive found many of you to be rude,annoyingly negative, slightly racist and maintain really bad fashion sense. But living in London i dont meet many Southampton fans and i can live with only interacting at games. However i find the way the majority ( i say majority because it is easily 95%) have handled Adam Lallana leaving the club an absolute disgrace.

Whilst i find the 'reports' of him refusing to play for us disrespectful i can see why he would suggest it. We've clearly lost our ambition and a player of his quality (which he is fully aware of of) should be at a better club than us it is that simple. It is nothing personal to southampton, he was not a Southampton fan he was not born here, yes we made him the player he is today but he also took us to our highest premier league finish. There was nothing more for him here. He deserves the chance to prove himself on a bigger stage, one which he would of never of got at Southampton. At the end of the day he's a footballer and his main priority is to play the best football possible.

After everything he has done for us he should walk out at anfield and atleast not hear saints fans abusing him, but most of you are all bitter pricks who somehow seem to think everything revolves around southampton and Lallana had a god given right to stay here because he's already stayed here for a while.

You cant blame fans for feeling bitter. It wasnt long ago he was talking about staying longterm, kissing the badge, proclaiming his loyalty etc etc.
