It would be great if we can all pay into one pot then first game of the season hand over the cheque at half time to that charity.
Great suggestion if we can figure out the logistics. 1) 3 individuals with the winning team need to agree on chosen charity or charities (registered charities only). If more than 1 charity, gets a little more complex if chosen charities need to be present for half-time presentation. Should be some rep from not606 handing over "token" cheque to rep of charity(ies) or an official from Hull City AFC, with appropriate announcement at the ground at the time. 2) Sponsors/those who pledged should be able to send their donations directly to charities without the need for a "middle Man" collecting funds....unless it's someone official. Would someone at Hull City AFC take on that responsibility ? Someone on this board ? The latter would require divulging personal banking information...not a wise move I suspect. Ideally we want winning sweepstakes 3-some to agree to ONE charity only. All donors could then send their pledges to chosen charity through official secure channels. Charity could tot them up and communicate total to Hull City AFC & a chosen rep (winning member(s) of the sweepstakes ideally) or someone from not606 HullCity ....bugger me, another poll/election). In any event, a review of pledges & summary total needs to be done after the final takes place and charities are decided upon. Anyone on this board have good links with appropriate personnel @ HCAFC or Radio Humberside ?
