Must admit i have not really been following this transfer closely - from the moment the story broke it seemed inevitable he would move and ****ed up my enjoyment of the world cup.

One thing i dont really understand is that Liverpool came in a few weeks ago with a 25 million FINAL OFFER, we reject it and two weeks later he goes for around 25 million (maybe there were improvements to bonus/sell ons?)

Anyway he could have stayed at Southampton, remained as captain and become something of a legend in these parts, instead has chosen to be an also ran in the Liverpool squad - enjoy your 20 minutes of champions league football adam. At the same time losing his hero status and becoming as popular as seeing rolf harris in the crowd at a one direction concert.

 

I'm up for that by the way.

I suppose its ambition to play for a club that could win something...though they don't do that on a regular basis, do they? The main reason is to have Liverpool on your CV and a massive pay rise.

 

Did anyone say fairwell to Lambert though? They may only have done so for Shaw because he actually has twitter, so they knew he'd see it.

 

I'd put a fiver in as well. what is it going to say though:

Agree 100%. RAWMOK, I sincerely hope that one of the predictions for the first weekend of the season will be:

1. Predict in which minute Lord Twatbeard gets twatted, and by which player.
