Summer 2014 Transfer rumour thread - Part V

I too would be concerned if we did make all our signings from the Eredivisie, but I don't think we will. Ron has coached in other countries before (only two I think, but still!) so it's not as if he will be hellbent on signing players and only players who come from there. Yes, he will feel comfortable signing some, he knows them best, and has seen them most recently as that is where he has just come from. We also have our scouting team/transfer committee who will have been looking at all manner of options one hopes.

I know loans in and out are not really our style, but maybe big Ron can use his credentials at Barca and get us in a Deulofeu type signing.

 

If this was FM I'd have spent every penny by now and asked the board for more. Come on Ron!

Has anyone heard the rumour regarding witsel? I'm struggling to belive zenit would a 20 million pound hit on a player. Anyone have any idea why they might?

 

Schar and Rodriguez would be exceptional signings for us.

 

It's coming from a person who's a known bullshitter, disregard it.

 

However, there's no way Witsel was ever worth 40 million Euros, so if he ever goes they will be making a loss.
