to be fair, our signigns so far haven't gone particularly as planned. koeman announced the week after we wanted to, pelle deal still not ironed out. first team coach pinched from another club the day after he signed up with them.

i expect everything to happen at least a week after it's supposed to these days.

 

I'm confused, I don't quite understand the 2nd half of that. I thought everyone knew Koeman was coming on the Monday he got back from holibobs?

 

i remember people supposedly in the know saying the club wanted to be able to announce it the thursday or friday before. His holibobs needn't have been included int he club's ideal result

 

I'm quite enjoying the amount of dislike I'm able to draw up toward Lord Twatbeard - it's making this whole losing players lark a lot more bearable. I think he *might* get just about the worst reception possible when that lot come to St Mary's. Just trying to think of ex-players that might have had worse. Difficult......

I don't think this is how it works. I think it's been done before that a team sells a player with the payment all in installments, so that the team with the sell-on clause only gets a tiny amount. The £4m would suggest to me that we've been given about half the fee up front and will get the other half some time later.
