As far as sticking the ball in the bet goes he is the hottest striker in world football, and I'm sure his minutes per goal ratio would back that up, so Landon Donavon makes a fair point. Hernandez can still improve on the rest of his game though

That you can come and score a massive amount of goals in your first season and go downhill from there. It is exactly what has happened with Nando, a mere fkn shadow of that player that arrived a few years ago.

Just meant don't be counting those chickens,

To be fair to Hernandez if he gets up to 20 this season that would be a fantastic achievement for the kid but some of you expect 30+. even 16 goals would be success though I would say he'll get more if all goes well for him.

I'm telling you now Torres isn't finished. Rooney had a whole year of being poor and that was without the injuries. But he come back and probably helped us to win the league last season. The problem with Torres is I think last season and the season before, when he played Liverpool depended on him and Gerrard so much they eventually burnt them out. Both had poor seasons the past 2 years but I think with a rest in pre season Torres will be 100% and he will show us he is still the best striker in the league. Same with Gerrard I think. Especially now Liverpool don't depend on him all the time he will be able to get on with his game. Especially if they sign some decent players this summer.

Seriously, he's been burnt out for 3 years now then? Being tired is what we have mistaken for a poxy attitude?

There is being tired, as in you play good for 50 60 minutes and crap after that cos yer knackered.

Not being able to control the ball make a pass make a right decision, thats not tiredness, thats in his head. And what indicates this to me even further was his performance against Chelsea, he was selling himself and got two goals, because he really wanted to show he could, so what happened the rest of the season?

Chelsea have a good manager supposedly a good man manager so maybe he can get him going again, it may also go in the opposite direction and off he goes back to AM

Like I said Liverpool burnt him and Gerrard out so much over the past couple of years that they have hardly been effective. If Torres wasn't 100% fit Benitez would still use him because he thought the strikers he had available to him (N'Gog, Voronin etc) were not good enough. Same with Gerrard. He thought if he wouldn't play Gerrard Liverpool would lose their heatbeat in the middle so more often than not he would be rushed back from injury. You will see now if Gerrard isn't 100% Dalglish won't play him. Because unlike Benitez he has faith in his young players in the academy. Benitez very rarely brought anybody out of the academy.

No I stand by it, I think after the rest Torres will get this pre season he will be back to his normal self.
