The European Court of Human Rights has upheld a ban by France on wearing the Muslim full-face veil - the niqab. Is this a good thing? please log in to view this image
Addendum: Just realised that what I've been wearing is not actually a "veil" in the traditional sense. please log in to view this image
I don't agree with it (the hijab/burkha)... it's not a religious thing but if it part of their culture then they should be allowed to wear it. Only in some instances (in court, airports etc) should they have to remove it.
??? I find it democratic because they voted to ban it, anyway, I think it is a good thing, but what would be better is send all the ****s home, so it is safe to walk the streets at night. Thank **** Algeria lost last night, although it would have been good watching France play Algeria on July 5th, which just happens to be Algeria's independence day from France. It would have been wars on the streets of Nice and Marseilles no matter what the score would have been, which would have been fun to watch.
Maybe my undemocratic quote was slightly off the mark but it is oppression of a minority. Where will this cultural cleansing end? Maybe you'll be more concerned when they decide to ban the sale of alcohol to the minority Scottish population.
Even if they did ban it, they could still steal their priests' communion wine, they would get round it the ****s.
True enough, us good honest to God proddies could steal away with the holy vino while the priest is being distracted by the altar boy.
In certain places it should be banned, headgear is already banned in certain places but does this mean the ****s can't wear one in the house?! I would btw.
