Disagree...I think he will take Allens place in the team. Anyway, it's not about who plays instead of who, it's about developing a squad of players who fit into a system. Impact players off the bench. We've seen this world cup what a difference that can make. Rodgers likes players who can play multiple positions and lallana fits that bill. In fact virtually all the players we are being linked with can play more than one position. Wonder why Can has been announced today as well?
that is a piss poor excuse for a lean and bodes il lfor his future. a man has to look like he can lean with the best of them to succeed at LFC.
suarez had a crap lean after his new contract... lack of "hunger" he's show nwhat he can do when he's "got the appetite" Aspas really put his all into his lean though... it showed he was so awestruck by the opportunity. i think it all just got too much from him after that lean. please log in to view this image a bad lean is a bad omen IMO just look at nuri sahin......... in any event boot room leaning is a common pose for lfc, as is goal post.. please log in to view this image we need better than this obviously
But much like his Liverpool career he got much better once he settled in: please log in to view this image
I am behind the eightball here on this ****.... So Lambert and Lallana were bought.... Origi and Can too? Or no? maybe? Have we even been linked with defenders ( apart from Moreno).
Can should be tomorrow. Nothing on Origi yet. No defenders. Though Can was pretty handy at emergency left back last year.
The fullback/defence issue is the one I think we should have addressed first. Saw last year they were the weak link. Johnson is worse than ****, leaving us with just Flanno (hard worker but not brilliant), Wisdom (fullback or CB?) and Enrique (injury worries). Looks like the CB's will be the same as last year with Ilori to be used (fingers crossed on that one) But I am glad we wont have to settle for Aspas and Moses next season.
So....the mind games have started. I honestly think this time he will be gone. --------------------------------------- Barcelona sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta has described Luis Suarez as "humble" and "an excellent player" after the Liverpool forward apologised for biting Giorgio Chiellini. The 27-year-old has been linked with the Spanish club despite receiving a four-month ban for the incident in Uruguay's World Cup win over Italy. Zubizarreta welcomed his contrition. "Suarez has shown he is humble enough to admit an error, which is very important," he said. "Everyone knows Luis is an excellent player, everyone knows last season he played in various positions in attack, but everyone also knows he is a Liverpool player." Suarez released a statement apologising to Chiellini on Monday. However, the absence of any reference to Liverpool fuelled speculation the apology was related to Barcelona's reported desire to sign the striker, who scored 31 goals last season. Croatian midfielder Ivan Rakitic, who completed his move to Barcelona from Sevilla on Tuesday, also praised Suarez. He said: "Regardless of whether the club signs him or not, his quality is unquestionable. He has the necessary quality to play for Barca."
we knew it was coming. as long as this is sorted before barca have to tell luis to throw a strop to get his move as they want him cheap as poss, i am not bothered now. or is that barcas next tactic any way
Just seems inevitable now and tbh we have had him for over 3 seasons (closer to 2 with suspensions). Just have to trust the guys in charge to get the best value (buy out clause) or a lot plus a Sanchez.
