No he hasn't, he's bettered his career and helped secure his family financially for the future, Southampton got more than most think he's worth from the deal, he's given Saints years of service and the fans should be thanking him not slating him. Is there a similar outrage at Luke Shaw for doing one to Dutchchester Utd?
You mean promising he'll stay when the news broke blah blah blah, yeah well what usually happens is family, agents/advisors, club's have input and instead of letting his heart rule his head he sees that for the good of his career and his future a move is the best option and he leaves safe in the knowledge that Saints got a great deal considering the fee.

You're going to drop Sterling (excellent) for Lallana (mediocre)?! I just don't understand this signing. £25m for a player who is worse than the players you already have in his position. In fact, does he even have a 'best' position? You're in the CL, you play damn good football, you're Liverpool...surely you could be spending this money on someone better than Lallana? Prime example of the 'English' tax on a player. Lallana is no more than £10-15m man if that.
Assuming Lallana is in the midfield with Hendo it's more a choice between Coutinho and Sterling. Unless you're playing 4-3-3 then you have Lallana as attack mid with Coutinho and Sterling on the wings with Sturridge upfront assuming Suarez has gone.
Lallana got the same number of goals and asists as Sterling (and in a team that didn't have Suarez) Lallana has a better defensive record Sterling's development will be helped by not having to play continously, we have a nice number of options
Sterling only made 24 starts too Lallana's 37 though. So have to allow that when taking goals/assists into consideration. Don't see competition for places as a bad thing though. Especially as Sterling and Coutinho are so young.
