I'm currently in Marbella visiting friends who live out here.

Me and my mate went out a few nights ago, he showed me the swanky bars and we had dinner in a fantasia restaurant by the port.

Anyway, during the night, I saw 2 familiar faces, Mikel arteta and jimmy Bullard.

Jimmy Bullard, completely wasted and slurring his words.

Mikel arteta, looking fresh as a daisy swigging on a bottle of water.

Now I know Bullard is retired and should be allowed to enjoy himself, but I've got a feeling arteta wouldn't be in such a state even after retirement.

I'd imagine it's something to do with the British drinking culture, and the likes of Bullard/cattermole have been doing this pre season after pre season. Whilst the foriegn guys keep thier bodies healthy, our guys can't help but fuel themselves with alchohol at every opportunity??

Any of the lads on here come across a Brit footballer enjoying himself a bit 'too much'?

I used to live in Marbella and we used to get them in Banus all the time.

I'm just gonna say, and it may be a surprise given their success, but the Manchester City English lads were always ****ed. Always.

I'll ask him how he's preparing for pre season, not to well by the looks of things!

Like I said, the drink culture looks to be a problem amongst our players.

Just look at Connor. I don't think it's hard to tell he's a bellend. Looks like he should be on Geordie Shore with his tight shirts, stupid caps and tarty tan.

Still, if he does the business this year I'll buy him a snapback myself.

Jimmy Bullard's a tramp, I'm surprised he wasn't sat with a 4 litre bottle of White Lightning. Bullard sums that place up completely.

Trashy area down there now, when I first went about 12 years ago it was decent but it's just crawling with human-lizard hybrids who are obsessed with plastering brands all over their torso. Little scouser side-comb boys with a credit card and a pair of fake Vilebrequins seems to be the order of the day.

We went out last year for a week but after about 3 hours of our first full day in the area we left and drove to Vilamoura, took us 6 hours.

To be honest mate, that's only the case for a very small portion of Marbella, namely Banus.

Marbella city itself has seen the way Banus has gone and the whole of the Puerto Deportivo in the city of Marbella has been redeveloped into bars, and they are a much better calibre of person.

Banus is generally full of people trying to get people to look at them and how 'great' they are spending money, even when we got free tables at Ocean Club I'd often decline.

Marbella itself is fantastic and improving all the time, Banus will always be full of ****ers.

Jimmy Bullard is not a tramp. And Marbella is defiantly not a trashy area.

That's where I'm on about mate, the port, the beach the whole area along the sea front, it's just 5% flashy ****s and 95% skip rats desperate for somebody to think their fake J-12 might be real.

The Mrs' old fella has a place out there so we pop over now and again, but even for me it's too much now with this Towie-type ****e everywhere. We even drove upto Benahavis for a 'quiet romantic meal' and bumped into a bunch of them, the area is being spoiled for me.

Aye, that TOWIE type bollocks isn't Marbella though mate, it's Puerto Banus. Marbella is sound, I'm surprised to hear that about Benhavis too, I'm in the process of buying a house there, ha.

We lived in Elviria, by Nikki Beach, which was beautiful, mainly Spanish in the area so none of the bullshit.

Yeah I was giving my opinion, just like you did.

If you consider somebody who a couple years ago was on 50k a week a tramp, then it's hard to take your opinion seriously that's all.
