The fault is Lallana's. Blackmore just reported it as a journalist would. Remember he may get info from a Liverpool player now #mayadambreakhisleg. What was he supposed to write...he was being fed stuff suggesting AL wanted to leave and he has. I am neutral on Blackmore, but don't shoot the massenger.

 

Blackmore reported what he was told as "what I have told". He didn't claim that in a world exclusive that the Board had decided to leave their phone off the hook (how redundant that expression is getting!) for the summer.
I can't see what else he could have done.
"A senior player has made some negative comments about how he feels that he has been treated, but I won't trouble you with them as they are only one side of the argument and the board won't comment"
Would that do?

 

Should we be concerned that Fonte is on it too?

 

I stopped buying the calendar when we were in serious trouble and virtually every player disappeared and (unlike now) there was little chance of getting other decent players in...now that was depressing. Calendars should perhaps be made up of action pictures rather than have individual players.

 

Interesting story about Lana Del Rey. And maybe she was being naive, but don't you think that's morally dubious, or even reprehensible, behaviour by The Guardian?

Does getting attention and selling papers justify a blatant disregard for moral standards? Andy Coulson clearly thought so, are you suggesting all journalists do? Cos if so, we're all in trouble in the "information age".

Not really. She said it, and repeated it (I've heard the audio). It was the obvious headline for the interview piece.
