His name... is Dusan. Dusan Tadic.

Alright, taking the piss there

Anyways, the guy was the successor of Bryan Ruiz at Twente. He is a player with vision and excellent passing that acts as the link between midfield and the strikers. A playmaker. He can play as CF and as RM/RW. His technique is better than Ruiz though, good cross, fantastic free kick. But he also shares the same problem with Ruiz: consistency. In the 4 seasons he has played in the Eredivisie I can't recall where he has been in top form an entire season long. He has good months, but those followed by weeks of invisibility. His work rate and stamina are good, but nothing special, not the fastest or strongest guy though.

His main strengths are his movement and technique which suit a build-up style of play, which is Ronald Koeman's way of playing footy. So yea, Tadic could be a good addition to the Saints, but it will take some time before Koeman can get his vision worked out on the pitch. So it will take a month or two before he can get going, if he even get's that time in the EPL.

Feeding off of scraps here, but Adam Blackmore just followed Terence Kongolo and Graziano Pelle on Twitter. Reading into this, at the very least it would suggest that Big Adam is semi-confident of a deal being made with these 2 players.

Earlier this morning I was reading an article on Dusan Tadic and it seemed he left Feyernoord in 2012. When I read this it did make me wonder about his relationship with Koeman.

Edit: according to Wiki he never played for them.. I'm off to re-check the article.

 

Nope. He played for Groningen until 2012 and joined Twente from them.

 

Thanks Tom.. I had looked that up since and sought out the article I mis-read. I had mis-read a comment that said something like 'Koeman saw him from his time at Feyernoord' referring to Ronald at Feyernoord, not Tadic.

Not like me to shoot from the hip having half read something
