He never asked for a transfer, so if there is such bonus then he should get it. Makes me laugh, the board at the end of the season clearly said no player will be sold unless its on there terms. We receive a very good offer for a player, we accept which means.... He wants out, doesn't want to stay, only going for the money etc etc etc. No, it means that the offer is to good to refuse which he's then aloud to talk to the club. He would be a fool to turn down what theyre offering compared to what we can offer. I say good luck to him, he's more than repaid that £3mil we paid for him 2 years ago. Time to move on and, hopefully see the money invested in new, better players than what we have.
At this rate id quite like us to get Yobo in on a permanent basis. Has kept Giroud and Benzema quiet in this game...so far! Would be a very good Championship defender!
I liked Snodgrass and am a bit sad to see him go, but all the best to him. Would have been foolish of NCFC to say no to £7million on player who's contact is almost up.
£7-8m is a good return for the £3m we paid after he put in 2 good seasons for us overall. He waited patiently for his chance in the PL and deserves to play there again next year. Good business all around, IMO.
Six million seems cheap, extremely disappointed with this club at the moment, we seem to be obsessed with signing strikers but we haven't brought a single player in the area we're we failed the most. Where are the replacements?
We have Elliott Bennett back from injury and he has a better 'all round game' than Snoddy. Agree we need replacements/cover for Tettey and Fer, as they could both leave!!
And who do we have to cover if he gets a long term injury again? Our midfield was an absolute joke last season and there is no signs of it being strengthened anywhere.
Let's hope Snoddy enjoys his season in the prem before Hull crash into the championship at the end of it. The Europa league will be the kiss of death like it was very nearly for Swansea last term. The only difference is Swansea had the benefit of a couple of previous seasons to add depth to their squad. I fear Hull will not recover if they pick up injurys with the Thursday/ Sunday games. Then hopefully we'll pass Snoddy on the way up ?
As has been said before on this thread, the likelihood of him suffering a similar long term injury is quite slim. IMO, it would be interesting to see of Josh Murphy could do a job for us on the wing. Our midfield really suffered more as a result of Tettey's injury, which was then followed by Fer losing interest. The transfer window closes in 2 months time, so there is more than enough opportunity to sign new players. Also, I don't expect much activity until at least after the final on the 13th!!!!
I was not impressed from what I saw from Murphy in games last season, his too lightweight and some of the crosses were atrocious, he has potential but I'd rather our youngsters went out on season long loans.
First of all its 8mil, not 6mil. Secondly, with a player refusing to sign a contract extension and only a year left, how is the club at fault. They certainly done the best thing for us.
You're entitled to your opinion, but I did say - "IMO, it would be interesting to see of Josh Murphy could do a job for us on the wing." and NOT that he would be cover!!
Good to see Snodders thanking the Norwich fans for all their support on twitter - NOT **** off without a word you ungrateful Scottish bastard - hope you crash and burn in that east Riding ****hole you've chosen to call home Joking aside (assuming I was joking, of course ) at least we should have a bit more variation down that right flank next season. He really was a 'one trick pony' and all too easy for his opposing full back to predict / close down / force inside onto his left only to float a harmless ball out of play or into the keeper's bosom. .
I'm not really bitter ! I am one who thinks that this is a great deal, what wrankles me are players who are at fault for this clubs relegation jumping ship in a heart beat when the gravey goes a little watery. I stood there in the Gunn club after the Arsenal game and saw how MOM Turner was positively "gutted" at the relegation, he stayed, talked to the fans, had photos taken when he looked like ****! Enter Snoddy, quick Q & A then straight off. As I said not bitter, much !
Snodgrass was responsible for both our very best play this season and our very worst, the fact that all our attacking play went through him at some point limited us massively as he was so predictable and easy to defend against, he was clearly worked out in the second season, however he has great talent on the ball and is a genuinely good player.
RvW's tweeted about Snoddy leaving, so presumably the player has said his goodbyes. "All the best @robsnodgrass7, It was a privilege to have played with you! Great player and fantastic personality! Good luck!!!" That sound sarcastic to anyone else? Jacob Murphy's also said: "Big well done to @robsnodgrass7 on his move to hull! Great guy, great player!!"
