This is difficult. Some are underwhelming and some I would be happy with if we were still in league 2.

Dont know too much about them apart from what I have read. Although I have seen Gosling play a few times before and im happy we got him and I think he will surprise a fewand of course we know about Mansell who I think is just what we need.

On paper looking at their careers to date, I can believe how far we have sunk. I be happy to finish mid table going purely by the career stats. But as you learn more and more about them, they all have a lot on common, they are all fighters, know where the goal is, have pace and can create. Look at todays signing, Sinclair, I found it hard to find anything on him. Aged 26 and not done much. Yet when I read the report put in here by gas and seamge, I am actually excited by his signing!

In conclusion, these signings may keep us under the radar which is a good thing instead of creating pressure on ourselves but they all have something about them.

With our keeper and defence staying loyal (for now), we have a good chance.

    It will be interesting.

:emoticon-0148-yes: I'm going to do another poll after the pre season games just to see how the new signings have done :emoticon-0148-yes:

Unsure, don't know anything about them except stat's which as we all know, do not necessarily work in our favour. I will wait to see what they are like in pre-season before I get excited about them <ok>

Remember Buckles team looking very promising pre-season? I would reserve judgment for when the real thing starts. :)

i didnt like buckle before he even joined us so clarke is already winning for me :)

however, its worrying that clarke has signed some 'old friends' from his time at salisbury. like buckle did with his signings from torquay! lightning striking twice?

Lots of managers do that though. Look at Harry Redknapp.

In all honesty, we won't know until we see them in action. But I am confident that the manager's signed people who he thinks will make us very competitive at this level, within the budget he has to work with.

The strikers look promising and I like the look of the signing from Torquay. He's come here for the right reasons and has experience invaluable at this level.

I hope the fans will be patient. We won't look like Brazil, but as long as we're there or thereabouts at Christmas I'm sure we'll have a great second half to the season anyway and should be in the mix at the end.

    Not happy tbh,

I understand we wont get league players(wait a sec wheres constable and ainsworth?) But we have signed injury prone or players who have failed to make the grade for their previous teams.

If we signed last seasons top striker that would show our intent. But as usual bugger all will be spent.

So no i am not bloody happy :(

Buckle lived in Devon and couldn't find his way to the ground at the start of the season. He made a few decent signings. Carayol was great. But he fell out with everyone and allegedly pinned our physio to the wall. He certainly made an impression...I expect the dent's still in the plaster in the changing room...

    Wtf never

I really hope I am totally wrong and Clarke has got it right.

Having said al this I spoke to someone who works at the club and he told me some interesting news, look at 2006/7 for a clue.
