I'm happy to be one of the few who never cared for Rolf Harris. Always thought he was weird.

I'm really enjoying it, I've barely even done any of the main missions, I'm just dicking about doing things like murdering celebrities. I can get why some people don't like it because all the side missions are pretty repetitive but nah, I'm having a lot of fun. The online invasions are way more fun than I thought they would be too.

I know nothing about modern music issues such as downloading tracks/albums from the internet but i have found the debate on here very enlightening, especially LTL's insight into the industry and how it is affected by pirating etc. So thank you to all, on sides sides of the debate, for educating me. I am just so glad that in my music buying days it was a case of saving up to get the latest single 45 or album LP ! I will look at my collection of Stones, Led Zep, Sabbath, Bowie, etc albums with new pride now, knowing that i paid for the lot when earning pretty low wages.

Absolutely Dman - there was nothing more exciting than finally going to get your favourite bands latest LP or CD later on, the day it was released, unwrapping it and feasting on the new music. Then you'd listen and listen again. That's another thing - because of our newly found inability to concentrate on anything for more than about 30 seconds, and the fact you can download the songs that you like, the art of constructing a meaningful album with a proper journey on it is getting lost.......

The other issue of course is that the compressed nature of online music means that (even on iTunes) what you're getting is a pretty horrid version of what it should be.......

also being able to pick and choose tracks where you want means even if you pay for it it's easy to move on to the next thing if what you're listening to isn't immediately gratifying.

whatever the compression rate it's nearly always better than casette tape or the quality of the earphones i ever used to listen to music with. 256kbps and I don't hear any difference even compared with CD.

You get approximately 5% of the data on the master in a compressed 128 Kbps mp3 file. If you compare the two with a decent pair of headphones you can always tell the difference. 256 Kbps is better but still nowhere near as good as CD.

That's really not a good thing. Great music is very often not absolutely immediate.

Hope you don't have an art attack if he is Beefy. I wouldn't like it either, have fond memories of watching that show when I was a kid!
