Here' s revolutionary idea....Feyenoord could just say no...though that isn't always sensible when a player has only a year left. However, if the player has say four years left on their contract.....
I feel for Feyenoord as well. Lost their manager, and almost certainly all their top players. They have joined the club, that we are members of.
They have good depth at the back (Mathijsen, Van Beek, Janmaat, Nelom) and they'll replace Pelle with no problems. What's important for them is keeping the midfield together - Vilhena, Clasie and Boetius. The sort of money they're getting for De Vrij, Martins Indi and Pelle can go a very long way in the Eredivisie.
We were used to it in the past...think us fans have got soft after being the big boys in the lower leagues and having the mad Italian as Chairman for 5 years.
Feyenoord must be scratching their heads, after all, every player wants to be in the CL yet they are all fooking off to clubs that aren't even in Europe. Pity our players have to think they want CL immediately
I suppose if he can return them to the prem... But then again, wouldn't Mitroglou be a damn fine Championship player? And that young lad they're bringing through?
