Or might it just be that Junior who played with Kelly rates him higher than Korey Smith.

I think that is a worrying possibility

However its also a possibility that Cotterill didn't rate Kelly, or maybe that injury was worse than we thought

Rickster - To be fair to Junior I've just read the EP and it seems he's 'on the level' about Smith.

I never liked Johnson as a player. He was ****! as a person though he is a top bloke and an all round nice guy. I really hope he succeeds as a manager and who knows he may end up here one day. He knows a lot more about football than you and I and I trust his judgement. I've read nothing but good things about Smith and it seems like we may have the better of the 2 players (Kelly and Smith) I rated Kelly and I think he'll do well at Oldham. Should be interesting to see how he does in league 1 if he can keep fit!

As such a big fan of Marv I'm surprised you think like that Shiny, the only decent season Marv had was alongside LJ...

Not at all, Marvins best season for the club was 09/10. 07/08 stands out because it was the clubs best season and he was only 23 and fans didn't expect much from him. 2009/10 he went from our battler to a goal scorning midfielder and his performances were great. In McInnes first season again he was immense, helped keep us up and again when SOD first took over, granted we went down but Elliott did everything he could to keep us up. Bit on an insult to Marvin to suggest he had only 1 good season in his Bristol City career. Lee Johnson was a poor player. The only compliment I could give him was that he was better than Kilkenny.

Junior is a much nicer man but not a better player.
Kilkenny has employment, wouldn't be turfed out of Chesterfield or a Pub side in Scotland.
Kilkenny won't retire at 31 either.
