I'd take him definitely - was an excellent player at Everton but then saw the "birght lights of Manchesters local bank" and did one apparently due to Everton ****ing up his contract - aye righto Jack, it was nothing to do with the fact that City offered you 6 or 7 times your Everton wage!

I'd have him though but, as Jammy said, don't think he'll come here

Same old problem of matching similar the wages man city offer as opposed to anything else.

    "The old Ross Barkley"

Injury prone but if he could stay fit he'd walk into sides outside the top 5 or 6 teams. Tall, big strong powerful quick, eye for a goal. Think a loan would be more realistic because if he can get a year or football under his belt he's heir to sulky Yaya's role

Thats fair enough, but the same could of been said about Adam Johnson. He came to us and more than likely was on the same wages.

Another thing is Sunderland is a different one to the last 7 years, we now have a manager with an actual plan and a draw.

If we can get Fabio Borini then I don't see why Rodwell wouldn't come.
