did think they had run out of time, dodgy pen aside they probably deserve to go through, as if they didn't mexico keeper would prob have been man of match, some of his saves were class. Schneiders goal was good.
has a European team ever won the world cup in south america? be interesting if not, how holland and germany get on.
I don't think so, but if they can win in conditions like today, then there's nothing to stop them in terms of the climate.
It was noticeable that VG resorted to the Moyes method of 'lump it in the box ' football. Very much a one man team. Although he didn't score Robben kept them going and always looked a threat. Can't see them winning it but they have the easier half of the draw I think.
Yup. they play winner of C.Rica or Greece. Got to fancy the chances of getting through to the semi's.
So? I'd rather watch 2 teams go at each other than Holland v Greece defence for 89 minutes with them hoping to nick a goal.
I'd also rather watch the great teamwork of Chile and Mexico but instead will have to see the awful Brazil and Netherlands fluke and dive their way to the quarters/semis
Greek manager's contract expires tomorrow. Obviously weren't expecting them to get any further than this game then
