I have to agree with this, the Ozil deal was evidence that Wenger has huge pulling power, not to mention the snaps of him on the beach....
I think that one is probably the most solid rumour yet. Also we know that Wenger has been speaking to agents whilst in Brazil, so it's highly likely that he's trying to work out some other deals. I don't see us buying 5-6 players as some have called for, I think we'll sign a RB, an attacking CF/WF player and a holding type midfielder. Out of those that have been linked to us, I'd love to see Aurier, Vidal and Sanchez in an Arsenal shirt next season. I think we'd be really strong with those additions
add in Balotelli and Joel Campbell and not let anyone else go and we would have quality in depth in the squad
If we bought Sanchez then I don't think we'd buy another striker, especially with Campbell coming into the squad as another forward.
I think we need a min of 4 - GK, RB, DM, St/wf. That is the bar min we need. I would add with Cambell coming back we are already at 5 players the other addition I would look at is a young CB so we have 4 solid CBs . Also depending on how we approach the market and how much we left over WC additions who are available should still be looked at. Which is why I said that as long as we got those 4-5 in I wouldn't have minded getting Fabregas. Lets see what happens - but there is plenty of room to improve this squad in both quality and quantity. Wenger I feel is lagging behind seeing as all our rivals have managed to strengthen one way or the other. If as rumored that no announcement will be made till 10th then fair enough. But if we haven't named at least 2 players by then I would consider this window of to a very **** start.
Backup keeper no-one's ever heard of A centre half no-one's ever heard of Aurier Schneiderlin Sanchez or Balotelli (a big money signing on deadline day to quieten fans' dissent) ...is what I'm expecting.
Fook me, imagine being a Saints fan right now. After having an amazing season they've now lost their manager, Lambert, Lallana and Shaw with enough noise about Lovren and Schneiderlin to be worried. I honestly feel so sorry for them. Granted they would end up with a vast pot of money but you've only got to look at the Spuds to see it's not easy to spend well, especially as they won't have a huge amount of time. With regards to us I'd still be stunned if we got Sanchez. Maybe that's because I'm cynical or maybe it's because he's so good and playing so well! I do think we'll get Aurier but I am worried about the defensive aspect of his game. Going forward he has looked amazing (and I read somewhere he's been clocked as the second quickest player in the world!) but positionally he's all over the place. I can see us getting Remy, Aurier, Williams and a back up goal keeper. That's it. I also reckon Vermaelen will be off. My negativity may be due to being hung over on a monday morning though so don't take me too seriously.
Can you imagine how good our team would be if we bought everybody that we'd been linked to ? Sanchez...Balotelli...Martinez ................Ozil.................. ......Vidal............Bender..... Subs: Campbell, Mandzukic, Walcott, Khedira, Goetze, Schneiderlin
Sod that... imagine how good Spurs would have been... Fat Ronaldo, C.Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Rivaldo, Messi, Garrincha, Pele, Di Stefano I'm sure at one point or another Harry Redknapp claimed he could have signed them all
I'm sure everyone of them would have gone onto achieve triffic things had they been given the chance to play for 'Arry
