I'll start by stating that I'd rather we retain the fellow; but everything I've read suggests that he's made his mind up over a move away from W12, irrespective of our return to the EPL. I doubt whether Uncle Tony can persuade him over a game of FIFA. His mum says he's not coming out to play today! All of which leads me to conclude that we have to get the best deal; but that too seems a futile exercise if the reports of the £8m trigger are founded. However, all is not lost. I spotted a ray of speculative sunshine and I think it's about the only leverage we have for his transfer to have a positive effect on the club; it was hidden away in a column in the Sunday Mirror: http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/tottenham-target-loic-remy-look-3781017 It may also help Spursâ cause that QPR boss Harry Redknapp wants to sign Gylfi Sigurdsson and Kyle Naughton from his former club â and may compromise on prices for those two players to smooth a deal for Remy. I'd be much happier to see the injury prone striker depart if these two could be landed!
For some reason I like the idea that Harry is building an alternative England side to annoy the FA , I also don't think Naughton is very good, so these two please!
I prefer Sigurdson to Townsend, a more complete player imo. Opinions eh? Not a big fan of either Dawson or Naughton. Sigurdson and some cash for Remy sounds good to me if there is no chance of keeping him.
If we have to let Remy go to Spurs, then I would be very happy with Sigurdsson and one other player in return. Naughton was actually preferred to Walker towards the end of last season, so Kyle Walker as the other player would be great.
Sigguardson and Walker preferably than Naughton. We are going to need at least 2 strikers if we let Remy go. Would like to see Swiss Tony convince Remy to stay.
I'd rather have siggy and walker over Remy. He's a finisher, he does nothing else. We need a HH type striker, well actually 2 more of them and a poacher who will be a sub because we won't start with two up front too often.
