    But why do you think for a second we're not going to buy in strikers before the season starts, to the extent we'd have to resort to a character like Bendtner. Anyone would think the first game is next week the way we're panicking.

    If he were prepared to také "low" wages i say maybe. But its a hell of a gamble and we are dependant on our goalscorers.

    Can we stop discussing this plonker, it's simple, he has proven over many seasons at Arsenal and out on loan that he is a self opinionated, arrogant plonker who is about as useful as a chocolate fire guard.

    Yet you still felt the need to come on the thread. If you don't want to hear it don't open the thread.

    Bedtner has a pretty poor record for a striker but I could handle that with a squad player. It's his general attitude that worries me more. Strikes me that fame and enjoying a good night out is more important than playing football which is not the southampton way (any more).

    I think there are probably better options for us to look at without taking this big risk.
