Don't forget the heat factor. I said all along that if this was in the Northern Hemisphere, Germany would walk it.

Plenty of Euro teams left, it's just the draw.

Go Uruguay: no cannibal --> stronger team. Finally Cavani will get his shot at being the top man!

France the strongest team so far for me :)

Cavani has been rubbish leading up to this tournament and hasn't improved during it imo. If that's going to change now is the time.

6 teams from SouthAmerica going into the world cup ... 5 left in the final 16
12 teams from Europe going into the world Cup..... 6 left in the final 16
there will be 2 SouthAmerican teams knocked out inthe final16 ... by South american teams

So your question "is anyone else in the competition." is answered by saying yes, in fact there are more European teams left than South American. <ok>

Like I said, it's just the draw.

Cavani is an excellent player, overshadowed by ibrahimovic in his club, and Suarez in the national team.
I hope forlan and he can hit it off...

    Look up back-peddling, roof :)

Yes Cavani is a very good player but his form is off up until now. He's capable of much better than he's shown in this tournament so far. Who knows? Tonight may be his time.
