So deluded it's untrue <laugh>. You do realise you are more or less defending him? You've spent more time (like Sisu) trying to dilute just how mental Suarez is by bringing up other incidents. As Tobes said, I would love to see Rooney being the one who'd just bitten a player for the third time and someone like Christian bringing up elbows and stamps.

Biting is NOT a normal or sane thing to do, I really don't see how bringing headbutts (which are also considered abhorrent in football) or elbows (**** all compared to a bite) into it makes any difference.

Your fellow fans are crying at anyone mentioning suarez just now but the truth is, you guys love it. Irs why you set out to embarrass yourselves and the club you claim to support by backing this sorry excuse for a player so often.

After the last 2 sad affairs we thought you might have learned. Surely watching the guays embarrass their entire country has taught liverpool fans a thing or two?

Waste of time UnitedinRed. You couldn't get it to register with YSB's, even if you tried to knock it home with a sledgehammer

As Strachan quite rightly said, there is no morality in football. Fans have cheered players on the pitch who have done despicable things both on and off it. That's football, that's life. Throwing moral judgements down from the top of your Ivory Tower is a touch hypocritical. Most of us LFC fans have said, ad nauseum, we don't agree or condone his on-pitch theatrics or behaviour, and that he deserves his ban (and it should've been longer), but while he's our player the majority of fans will support him because he's a Red. If you're saying it would be any different with your fans then you've clearly forgotten Roy Keane, and are being disingenuous.

But, by all means, continue to play the broken record card. <ok>

They don't even have an actual comparison to base it on, they just bring up other offences and say the ban is too long.

If someone can name me a player who has two footed tackled, headbutted, elbowed or deliberately set out to injure someone and had a ban. Then done it again and had a longer ban. And the done it AGAIN to get another long ban, then you have yourself a comparison.

Otherwise, to keep on bleating about the length of a ban of a SERIAL offender by comparing it to one off cases just make themselves look as stupid as they clearly are.

Ive heard united players booed for their off field antics. Rooney for example.

Giggs didnt get booed as well, it has **** all to do witg us or football and hes given more to united than any player. He deserved tge free pass on this one.

None of our players right now compare to suarez. If they did, we would have sold him long ago because im sorrt, regardless of tye excuses made by liverpool fans, its unacceptable

And Suarez will no doubt get his fair share of boos, too. I don't see many fans defending Suarez or making excuses, they seem to be merely a little bemused by the hysteria this incident has created. It seems massively disproportionate. Notice I said the hysteria is disproportionate, not the punishment, as I've already said I think his ban should've been longer.

I agree. It's beyond my ken, for sure <laugh>

Come on ccc. Loads on your board have been defending him. Making up silly comparisons and trying to play it off as nothing.

This is part of the problem and why suarez does it again. He thinks its acceptable. Uruguay are doing nothing to help him right now but thats how some of you guys cime across.

His apology to the fans after Ivanovitch shows he knows it's unacceptable in the modern game, and I expect BR will make him apologise to the LFC fans once again.

If our fans are bringing up comparisons to play it off as nothing then they are wrong. However, if they are doing it to counter the media-driven hysteria, as I have done a few times, then I don't see a problem with it. Although, obviously this distinction is highly subjective and I can see how one could look like the other, depending on your point of view. <ok>

Let's be honest here. I'd imagine 99% of Liverpool fans are furious with him and, given the way your club has supported him to the hilt in the past, feel hugely let down. Quite rightly so. The reactions on this and other forums are coming purely because if your player gets a slagging from fans of other clubs many will stick up fo him no matter what. I suspect many fans of other clubs would do the same in Liverpool's position - "we're not defending him but what about that bloke who did this?" par for the course and all part and parcel of club vs club banter if you ask me - which you didn't!

I doubt if Rodgers will make him apologise to the fans. Firstly, he wont be allowed anywhere near Anfield as part of his punishment, and by the time he is allowed back in a stadium it will either be at the Bernabeu or the Camp Neu.

And once he's placed in either of those, don't even imagine he will show any loyalty to Liverpool, in fact, he is far more likely to slag off everything about England AND Liverpool.

Might ever hedge a bet with the bookies that he bites someone in an El Classico match, whatever shirt he is wearing

Brenda is a weak manager. He just happened to hit upon a good team with Sturridge and sterling. He won't have the balls to control the racist who actually has not an ounce of loyalty in his body. Throughout the World Cup his antipathy for the English has shone through. He has not excluded the RS fans from his contempt. He has confirmed what type of low life he was. It could only be the RS fans who would idolise someone who has no respect for them at all.

I honestly do not expect him to play in England again and many people will say good riddance to the vile racist <ok>

The vile racist is digging and digging a bigger hole..

    >>>Uruguay's Luis Suarez says he lost his balance and did not bite Italy's Giorgio Chiellini at the World Cup.
Football's world governing body Fifa banned Suarez, 27, for four months and nine international matches for biting Chiellini in a group match on Tuesday.
Uruguay have told Fifa they intend to appeal against the decision.
"I lost my balance, making my body unstable and falling on top of my opponent," wrote Suarez in his defence to Fifa.
"At that moment I hit my face against the player leaving a small bruise on my cheek and a strong pain in my teeth."

Not only a cheating biting sewer rat but also a blatant lying one. <ok>

I don't. It's a terrible excuse. I've heard kids come up with more plausible explanations. <laugh>
