Not as negative as some m8,don't trust ken but will wait to see who we sign before making any judgement.Think we will have a stronger team this season again as we did last.
Teams usually spend on players or wages,we go for wages as our fans wont wait to build a team slowly. If we don't go up Grayson will be sacked, where as if you made top 6-8 you would probably be happy.

Cheese, ur right to a degree about the top 6-8 bit for us, it the moment we are a bit short on players, but I dont think we will splash the cash for the sake of it, I like the approach that KJ and JB are taking with regard transfers, its all about living within your means, as you guys would be well aware!!
I would say it seems a short sighted policy that Leeds are adoping though, free transfers players on big wages have a nasty habit of biting the club in the ass, would you be happy if you had a old boys reunion with woodgate, bowyer and smith all coming back? ( I reckon your asian college students wouldnt be so happy either<whistle> )

yeah i guess bowyer would still get interest from a few prem teams, ive always actually rated woodgate as a top class defender if he could stay fit, shame really!

Never heard of a floater cheese? ;)

Is it such a good idea to get the old boys back? The same players that saw you relegated were they not?

Whats your point Conkers, if we wanted to keep them we could have, i didn't say they wanted to step up to a higher league.

Bit of both, i think Rocky. he's a dodgy old bastard, but i think he'd got us on a sound footing , just wish he'd put his short arms in his deep pockets, but if you look at the bigger picture and see how far we have come from the Ridsdale years it ain't that bad

My point was; you are selling to clubs you will be competing against. It may came back and bite you in the arse.

Pretty sure only smith was there then Lion and played out of his skin and almost kept us up on his own, that's why scum grabbed him.

I want him to leave the club because of the disgusting way he treats the fans with the insane ticket prices, Membership fascism and constant attacks on long-standing Leeds fans who are trying to get the club to be more transparent/fan-friendly.

He's done some good stuff like get us on a relatively safe financial footing, though it does appear that Fabian Delph's sale was the main reason we're still making a profit.

Overall though, the thing that infuriates me the most is that we've spent £7m on Phase One of his doomed East Stand project. Chelsea admit that his extension there hardly even turns a profit and that it's a "failed business model". It'll take us a decade to recover the investment on the new corporate boxes too apparently, just don't see the point of it at all. Bates' obsession with property development kicking in it seems. Leeds United are his lego toy, his platform to express his ego. A vehicle, nothing more than that to him.
