We have recruited three different types of midfielders in Wade Elliott, Luke Freeman and Korey Smith. A full back in Mark Little. Who else and to cover which positions? Goalkeeper Central defender Striker And which other current City player(s) could be leaving? Big question now is how long will it take for the new squad to gel into an effective team?
A keeper because he wants 2 to challenge for the first team (think Fielding will stay) A centre back Outs - depends on who you believe as to whether he's fallen out with El Abd - possibly Maloney - Winter (maybe on loan)
I want to see another striker, I know some didn't rate Patterson but I think he brought the best out of Baldock playing with someone along side him.
Suarez is likely to be available on a free transfer in November - perhaps he could partner Baldock up front. Better play him in a 'Silence of the Lambs' mask though...
? HOPEFULLY not 7 months like last season... that's the answer ban him from 12 international games but he has to play in a mask
I'd like to see a centre back, left back, keeper and a forward. If Cunningham gets injured we've got no left back. I know Williams/Bryan can cover there but I'd rather have an actual left back to cover him if possible. Elokobi would be a good signing and a free agent too.
Never quite been a fan of Flint- Good in the air but seems a bit vulnerable at times. Pack, I am not sure how he figures in SC's plans either,, but after signing Smith and Elliott, there will probably be a further exit from midfield. Central defender is a must. Goalkeeper would be a good addition although I think we ok to start with Fielding at least and another striking option would be beneficial to cover and we still cant be certain to hold on to Baldock yet. For the first time in a long time though, particularly after our end of season form and the new signings, I do feel remarkably upbeat and positive about our prospects for next season. Lets hope the players can deliver this time. We are well overdue.
Pack, Elliot, Smith and Reid will all play a fair bit i'd think? Long season and we'll need the rotation at times. Wynter may leave though? Make or break for him now.
Well he told me Cotterill was the next manager way before it was even suggested and he is normally right.. but. things change. He may, refuse to go. or ask to fight for his place.?? who knows.. I would never suggest putting any money on rumours.
I think we sign 3 more if no one else leaves. Think we will sign Simon Moore if he is available. A Central Defender and a experienced striker in the target man role for when things get tough away from home..... Then possibly some signings on a one out one in basis.
Maybe two strikers? Only have two at the moment and 4 is the usual requirement, hence Patterson and Barnett last year on loan?
