Dutch why didn't you stand forward to be on the panel if you're so desperate to have CTWD of your side on your mission against the seat move? And Fileys right about the busses, it would be a good move, wheelchair users just can't go on an ordinary bus they need to be locked in place besides you'd never fit a wheelchair in any normal vehicle anyway. OLM is glen hoddle and I claim my £5
Did you happen to notice any of the comments when people were renewing? I ask because I was there for a while, and almost all were renewing, but asking how they sort out a move out of the north later on. This could have been handled so much better, rather than individuals or small groups arguing their own particular case. It sounds like dozens of fans all feel their group has been told they're top of the list to be moved back to the east stand. A big up for the ticket office staff, as they handled the queries politely and with good humour, as they did under the pressure of the Wembley tickets too.
I'm not particularly desperate to have them on my side. It's more a case that I'd like to feel able to be on theirs but I have reservations on how it looks.
Thanks. Mr Hat They use to send special transport to take me from Scarborough to castle hill for my 5 day stays and also take me back home. I wouldn't have got there without them . If I was the Allams I'd buy a couple myself and use them when needed . Many disabled people live on there own and are up the creek regarding transport.
If the daughter needs a carer then a carer's pass should be issued FOC. It shouldn't matter if she's ambulant or not. My son receives higher rate of the DLA mobility allowance. He's had a pass now for 6 years and each year he's been given a free carers pass. The main complaint we had was the abolition of the disabled concessions last season - which I think is the issue that needs to be addressed.
There are many different disabilities, many of them don't involve a wheelchair, there are the deaf, the blind and those with learning difficulties. You think kids with these issues shouldn't attend with their parents, but should be put on a 'special bus'? I think that's disgraceful. There's no issue with the club arranging wheelchair transport if there's demand for it and it makes games more accessible, but ffs don't call them special buses.
Hard to say, I couldn't see what hat any of you were wearing when I contacted them. Are you trying to say if I mention it to a committee member, I've got to make it clear I'm talking CTWD business? I guess the emails between committee members make it clear it's 'official' but the rest of us need to use the appropriate forms.
call them what you like , special buses , adapted buses etc its not barbaric. I didn't say for everyone either
Thanks for shedding some light on this Chilton. Can you explain a bit more about it too. What were the concessions? Why was this woman paying for her pass if she is the carer, she should be getting a carers free pass? Is that right?
I think what they did Chaz was stop giving the disabled the free pass ( or reduced pass ) And gave it to the carer instead I think !
Most people go to www.citytillwedie.com and use the 'email us' tab. Alternatively, we have Facebook and Twitter accounts for our members to talk to us directly. You are the most vociferous objector I've seen to the seat move, on any forum or social media site, yet even you didn't contact CTWD directly to ask them to act against the move. We are regularly contacted by our members, we have a massive amount of emails about the renewal forms not having Hull City on them, we have a massive amount of emails about various issues regarding prices, but I'm not aware of any about the seat move.
Amazing, when I asked, YOU said CTWD wouldn't get involved as they're a single issue group. NOW you point me at where you think I should have been making my views known. I'm not on twitter or facebook btw and didn't think about the ctwd web site as I assumed mentioning it to the rep on here as well as other reps, amounted to the same thing. There's even been other people on here and on other boards commenting on the ridiculous seat move,(I'll stand corrected, but I think you've responded to some of them) so trying to make out it's just me and I've used the wrong form would be laughable if it wasn't so pathetic.
If I remember (please correct me if someone else knows different), up to and including 2011/12 season the disabled had their own price bracket, irrespective of age. I think the rate was around £160. Some (most) also qualified for a free carer. This price concession was abolished from the start of 2012/13 and everyone paid a rate according to their age and location of wheelchair space. My lad falls into 16-22 age bracket so last season the price increased to about £200 and for the upcoming season it's £241 (south stand). The season after he'll pay full price.... I suppose it's up to society to decide if the disabled should be given concessions for events like football, cinema, etc. Maybe the problem nowadays is that there are that many people classified as disabled that to give concessions to them all would not be possible. Hey-ho, we'll keep paying and keep smiling.
Thanks. So do you get a free pass as his carer? How is this womans going from £150 to £500 then? Not addressed at you that.
Right, lets take this slowly. CTWD until this point have been a single issue campaign group. All of CTWD's output has been name change related and only on issues of the name change do my posts constitute CTWD policy. CTWD do not yet have any policies that are not name change related and all conversations you've had with me on this forum about other issues are just my opinion. At our First General Meeting, we canvassed our members on CTWD expanding our remit and becoming a supporters trust. Those who attended the meeting were unanimously supportive of this proposal and it was then put to a vote of the full membership, who also voted in favour this week. As a consequence of our members approving the move to a supporters trust, we will meet next weekend to formulate CTWD's policy on all sorts of fan related issues, some of which have been touched upon in this thread, some which haven't. Once CTWD have agreed those policies, they will be put up on our website for anyone to comment on and I will obviously detail those policies on here. I will then be in a position to answer questions on behalf of CTWD, until then, nothing I say on anything other than the name change is anything other than my opinion. I hope that clears things up a bit, I don't want anyone criticising CTWD for policies they don't even have.
