I had a special Jal last night and it was magic.Green chillies pocking out everywhere,i was sweating like a rapist after a few mouthfulls but well worth the pain. Usually i go for the gay assed curries like Lamb Bhuna and that but i have now changed my ways. So are you a hot curry man or a lamb bhuna gay ass ? ER how about you ?
Anything that makes me sweat while I eat is to be avoided. I don't have the hair to soak it up. I love a curry. My favourite bit is that your next morning **** smells exactly like it, so you can sit amongst happy food memories for a while before you flush.
Hotter the better. I have been known to add hot chilli powder to vindaloos. My home made curries (minimum of two scotch bonnets per portion) are infamous among friends and family. I do worry about the long term implications for my insides though
I don't like Indian curries, Indian people are always sweaty and smell minging so I get the feeling some of that might have dropped into their curry. That might be what makes them so spicy
Funny you should say that PB my Mrs said i was honking this morning and made me go have a shower before coming to work. Then she changed the bedding,i think shes going OTT. I smelt like a curry house she said.It was they green chillies seeping out my pours.I wonder if my helmet smells of curry like womens flaps ?
Ha. Only one way to find out, Coops. Make someone at work smell it. My g/f is a vegetarian. I like nothing more than coming to bed after a kebab and trying to get my end away. It's like a Benny Hill sketch with me chasing her around the bed. Before I pin her down, obviously.
It's difficult to get a phall in most Indian restaurants up here (certainly in Edinburgh) but it's similar to the dish I make at home.
I like a pretty hot curry but in my experience with curry-houses, a madras in one can be as hot as a vindaloo in another. If I visit one for the first time I'll always order a madras to be on the safe side. Pub curries are notoriously milder than they claim to be. It's been a few years since I was in blighty but I remember a Wetherspoon "Phal" being as hot as a tin of mulligatawny soup!
I have moved up from bhuna to jalfrezi recently.. I tried a pharl once years ago just dipped a bit of naan in it.. ****ing blew my head off.. I see no enjoyment in eating one that hot..
You build up a resistance to the heat. My tastebuds are ****ed so anything less than a Madras doesn't even register as hot.
If I cook a chilli con Carne I like to make hot so my face goes numb.. But a hot curry seemingly blows my head off..
I'm a lamb bhuna gay ass. For shame. Nevr really liked Vindaloos and that ****, too hot to be enjoyable, If I wanted my mouth to sting i'd eat Jellyfish.
I can take a hot curry but I sweat like a ***** in a playground after a madras so tend to stick to bhuna. I too don't have much to soak up the sweat so am thinking of getting an Ivan Ljubicic curry hat: please log in to view this image
I'm a ****, so I can't stand hot stuff. Plus, it doesn't even taste of anything if it's too hot, because your tastebuds are so ****ed, so what's the bloody point!?
Coops - what exactly is a curry? I have heard of them but never had one. There was a chance a couple of years back........................................................
