Not sure if he gets it all in one lump or not, id have thought it would be staged payments myself, would be interesting to know though.

Does this means we are going to pay similar to keep Ash ?

Bony was on a reported 65k a week, which as everyone dicussed on message boards was thought to be either bullshit or made up of signing on fees, his wage was within our structure too according to the board.

If this is the only way forward then fair enough, but we cant have everyone on that kind of money and the rules of financial fair play will indeed mean some top wage earners have to move on (Michu, canas and Poz)

Gomis seems to think he is gonna play WITH Bony so its gonna be a slight change of formation by the looks of it .

All good stuff and its about time we got the required front players needed, all we need now are defenders that can keep the ball out and we should be fine !

Perhaps he signed this year because Laudrup's agent was nowhere to be seen? <whistle>

Back to Gomis. I take it the fact that we lose Bony for a long period of next year because of the Africa Cup Of Nations also doesnt mean nowt??

    Good signing Huw. TY :)

Roofjack, are you actually a roofer by trade?

If so, I'm shocked. Given your astoundingly negative outlook on life, don't you know all the things that can go wrong on a roof?
    - You could fall off (obviously)
    - It could cave in, and you could be buried alive by the rubble
    - You could be struck by lightning (especially likely if you live in the Glastonbury area, but you'll probably be safe cos you live in Cardiff don't you...?)
    - You could be hit on the head by a plane crashing to earth
    - Your ladder might fall off the edge, and you'd be stranded on the roof and eventually die of thirst and/or starvation (unless someone takes pity and helps you. If so, keep your mouth shut or they may put you back up there)
    - Passing birds might dive-bomb you, or build a nest in your hair

Blimey if I was you I'd stay locked up inside.
WELL AWAY FROM A COMPUTER SO YOU STOP DEPRESSING EVERYONE WITH YOUR DOOM-AND-GLOOM.

40 years up and down the ladder...and yes , Im a real piece of work to live with Matt . Financially , "The Swansea Way " is a thing of the past .. Now that we have a huge wage bill beginning to bulge , lets see what the manager can do with it , whether thats Monk or Huw .

We have to move on. But, I believe that HJ would not be spending this sort of money If our bank account wasnt looking good.

<laugh> love this. . The fact is no fan would know what deal has been offered and how much we have paid the lad for a signing fee or what wages he is on so stop pretending you know as you don't....Jinx is a shrewd negotiator and he has pulled out of deals before if it was beyond our means and he would have done the same with gomis you can bet your life on it....A deal has been done and its obvious jinx is happy with it....

As I pointed out earlier in the thread....that is exactly what you did with the Bony deal

    This should be your theme song;
