Dutch media confirming that the Saints have officially enquired about Pellè. They don't know what Feyenoord is asking for the Italian Striker.

In my opinion, he is ready to go abroad, he has the experience, he has the skills, his development was brilliant in the past 3 years. But don't be fooled, it's still a coin toss, 50/50, hit and miss etc. He had a decent spell at AZ, went to Italy, and went completely invisible. The same can happen at Southampton, but I given his age, I'd expect him to do a decent first season in the EPL, won't score dozens of goals instantly, he will need to gradually adjust. Which may take half a season for him to do so. Took him that long to get in form at Feyenoord.

True, fair point - still very light at AM though.

EDIT: Also we need another CM now.

If we play Bale in an AM position behind Suarez, should be okay I'd guess. **** me, it's not like we can't afford them at this rate :)

What do we know about Koeman's formations/types of attackers? Probably been discussed to death but I've not been reading - abridged version would be nice :)

Currently it's likely to be £££ up front with £££££ just on behind.

For every player that leaves, we become a less attractive proposition to new signings.
The signings also get more expensive, and therefore more difficult to negotiate one would imagine.

Never boring supporting Saints, will give it that much (though sometimes, just for a couple of seasons, I wish it could be).

I wish there was some more concrete news about incoming players, we're going to have to move quite quickly.

I love our clubs innate ability to go from exceptional highs, to outrageous and unexpected new lows in such short spaces of time.

Even after Strachan and the cup run we didn't lose this many players. If Morgan goes as well as the others we will not be looking healthy at all.

The worst part is we're going to have to learn a whole load of new chants next season.....

......oh no, we'll just rehash the bog-awful ones we have already.
