Was just thinking it would be nice (in some ways) to hear one of the players speak out about why they're going, rather than the usual platitudes of "ambition/CL football/****loads of dollar".
I'd like to hear Krueger try and take a positive spin now! Haha.....actually no....scrap that....I wouldn't.
Got to be more to it than that surely? Chairman and managers have left before and this sort of **** rarely happens. When the media mentioned exodus i laughed my bollocks off...... now im not laughing my bollox off.
It's not quite as simple as that. Last season Saints had a real team, that team coupled with their 'new' world cup experiences would have been even stronger this coming season. Yes you can buy good players but it takes a while (if ever) to gel. Yes we can replace, Shaw, Lambert, Lovren, Schneiderlin & Lallana, but it doesn't necessarily follow that the new guys will make a decent team. I blame Spurs.
If* both Lovren and Schneiderlin go as well the board are seriously rolling the dice. That would leave us needing to bring in 5 new first team players plus the depth we already needed. *I was going to write "big if" in here but the ifs seem to be getting smaller and smaller every day
I don't like the idea of buying virtually the heart of a team again. Lambert, Lallana, and Shaw are quite enough thank you. Plus, Lovren will go at the first opportunity - oh he was so thankful to come here. But Morgan as well..? Hand the ****ing watches back..!
Absolutely. There is something there. I know a few weeks back I rattled on with conspiracies, but something is a miss here. Today was the first I heard about this bonus thing. I still wonder about NC. I know people keep saying he has moved on, but ...
What ever happens I will still support Saints. If some players don't want to pull on the shirt get rid and move on.
Nah, I don't think it's NC pulling strings, that feels like paranoia. What I do think though is that this group of players implicitly trusted, and were excited by, NC and Pochettino. I don't think they trust the new set-up, and particularly Les Reed, one iota.
I'm going to blame Osvaldo. If he'd been better, we'd have pushed into top 6 - players might hang around then.
