After the latest bite and his new lengthy ban whats he really worth?

Consider his marketing value has plummeted and you have to factor in a huge number of games will be missed. I think hes now missed a full season in his career which is mental.

Lets say based on last season and prior to the world cup he was worth 60-80million and with all the negatives how much has it dropped by?

Liverpool will want as much as possible but they no longer hold the cards. Suarez has already started his annual 'the british hate me' campaign. We all know he makes this ****e up so hes got a ready made excuse that plays into the collective liverpool mindset. I thini he will force the move the more liverpool try to dig in.

Personally, all things considered. If they get 50million they will be delighted. The amount in wages they will save from paying him for nothing will more than make up for the reduced fee. His next ban will be for life imo. Liverpool won't risk it.

    I don't think it's effected his value at all. 70m I reckon.

  3. Worth is dependant on two things; what the existing club wants and what a buying club is willing to pay. If the formers valuation is higher than the latter then he doesn't move. Anything else is irrelevant and pointless.

Transfers are about risk. Should he do it again, hes wortg nothing. Its as simple as that. His career ends at that moment.

The few clubs interested will know and account for this. Barcelona are clearly aware as the reports of clauses in his contract to basically hang him out to dry if he does it again.

Reckon his wage goes down as well.

Tbh liverpool have no say in it anymore. Do you expect suarez to remain honourable in all this? He kicked off last season and that was arsenal.

Hes already making his excuses to get out.

Seriously think that liverpool will wait for a fair offer and get rid. Make a nice profit and move on from this less than rosy period.

At the end of the day, hes not bigger than the club and you will do fine without him.

Seems Suaraz has personal demands too. 4 lbs per day of raw fillet steak, just so he can hone his biting skills during his 4 month holiday

Really? Hes just got a 4 month ban. If he does it again, hes probably not playing for a good while. 2 years? takes him into his 30's. He'd have lost 2 years in terms of training and fitness. No clubs paying much for him and he goes to south america on a free or retires.

Its not exactly far fetched is it?

  10. So you seriously think no club in the world would be willing to pay at least a single pound for him? Ridiculous claim <doh>

Clubs are looking to pay a substantial amount for him now despite him having done it three times. You made similar claims after he'd done it twice too. Its not going to suddenly go to no one wants him because he's done it a fourth time is it? three times pretty much tells you he's likely to do it again, hell twice does!!!

If we have are Liverpool **** and United kings?

On a serious note this has nothing to do with last summer. Last summer he had bitten someone and received a 10 game ban.

This season hes bitten someone in a world cup game and been banned for 4 months from all football activities. No training, no games, not even allowed to watch a game live in the stadium. He will need another month just to get fit so really, hes almost gone for the rest of this year.

Its a very different situation Gerrez.

  13. Not sure it is. Are you saying he was likely to change after having done it twice? I seem to remember you saying he would do it again BECAUSE he'd done it twice. Now you're saying three is the number which suggests twice was irrelevant, which one is it? Or are you simply moving the goal posts for your convenience again? <whistle>

so lets say he does it again next season. Fifa, having already banned and warned him about his future conduct ( they will have done this ) ban him again for the maximum they can ( 2 years? ). On his return hes 31, missed 2.5 out of the past 3 years, not trained and likely gained a few pounds. His contract is more than likely in a bin somewhere and hes been sued to **** by whichever club he plays for.

A quid would be a generous offer in all honesty if he does it again. Like you say, he probably will.

    cash in now <ok>

He will do it again. I feel sorry for the club who employs him at the time as they lose.

  16. Firstly, he's currently 27 (since January) so he would be 29 upon his return. Secondly, where have they said he would be banned for two years? If they have said this then it would already have a negative effect on his value because of the vastly increased risk. And lastly, someone would still be willing to pay a large sum for his services because of how good a player he is. It wouldn't be the £70m we talk of now but he would still be significant. the problem would be for Suarez when negotiating contractual terms.

a player who in this scenario who has missed almost 3 years is not worth much at all.

this is about now. 50million is fair. liverpool wont say no imo.

  19. That's just it, its all about opinions since there is no previous precedent to base this one. My point was merely that your claim of him being worth "nothing" is clearly bollox, he will be worth something. It won't be £70m but it will be at least a pound, somewhere inbetween there would be a settlement point.

The fact that both Real and Barca are still reportedly interested will push the price up if not already at the release clause level anyway.

The spanish vultures sense a bargain. the first bid will probably be offensive.

Fax from barcelona..... Euros20million? Half now, half in 3 years.

something like that. These clubs are not idiots. I mean barcelona are not big fans of paying clubs for players. They might prefer to pay Suarez' parents most of it like they do with other players.

And Real just paid 85million for Bale. They wont be repeating that the season after. It took 5 years since ronaldo.
