I have no problem with him coming in at 7m and providing the squad option (seeing as Koeman clearly trusts him), along with Gallagher improving, then getting a Bony/Hernandez type as our main goalscorer.

Yes, PTF, my post was a flippant way of saying "playing around Pelle would mean playing like West Ham" in a direct response to your post. I don't think we will at all, it was simply a response to your suggestion that we'll build around Pelle.

 

I've no doubt. So why is my obviously sarcastic response to his obviously sarcastic post taken seriously?

 

Did say he was acting a twat, probably stepping up the twatness.

 

I'm not suggesting we'll build around him, I'm suggesting we use him in a way that gets the best out of him, which in my view we haven't been doing with Lambert lately.

I guess it just strikes me as being an awful lot to spend on a player that we're effectively hoping will not be expected to contribute much, even if we're flush. That we're probably looking at a contract that pays him through age 33 doesn't much help, either.
