Not going to say if I think it's a good buy or not. I am just going to see how he doe's.

 

Lambert got a fair amount of PL goals too, not sure if Pelle will get into double figures.

maybe we can more freely change our style of play without lambert's abilities and foibles dictating the style.

 

Look, he does everything Rickie does, except he doesn't do any of the things Rickie does.

 

Come on lets give him a chance. I'm going to keep an open mind about this. Until his scoring drought reaches 37 games.

 

He did too much of that if you ask me. Best finisher in our squad and he barely ever had a shot. Maybe we'll play to Pelle's strengths at least.

 

It's ok, our system means that even a poor striker can score goals.. Oh wait!

Don't worry, if he fails to make an impact we still have Rickie... Oh wait

Let's hope he does alright shall we .

 

I'd say that was the fault of our midfield, not of Rickie. Playing to Pelle's strengths = playing to Carroll's strengths. No thanks.

If he's half as good as Carroll at it we've got an absolute bargain on our hands.

It's funny, I don't remember anyone complaining when we had Adkins making players actually put balls on Lambert's head in dangerous areas. He certainly wasn't. Now we're too good for that?

 

But maybe he's bringing in Pelle as a squad player - hence he comes on when we're unable to break down teams through our pretty passing play. Then, finally, we have the mythical 'Plan B', no?

 

That's because we did a lot more than just hoof it to Rickie because he was great bringing the ball in to feet.

Could be about more than that too, potentially.

He's putting down some roots and people he trusts and likes in a dressing room that's going to be perhaps a bit fragmented with some key people missing.

This is where the likes of Jos could come in handy for team spirit

Alternatively he could create a cliqué where some see the Koeman crew and the others... I doubt it, though.

 

Well we need more than one striker in so I bloody well hope so. Still, I was hoping for more than one good one.
