No, you refused him for £10m apparantly. Source is questionable though http://metro.co.uk/2014/03/24/manch...eal-madrid-in-summer-transfer-window-4676376/
Matth, you think everyone is going to be quality for you bud You have made a Bale comparison already Still waiting for Zaha to become the next Ronaldo, and Welbeck to be as good as Henry as you so classically stated on Twitter.
Think Shaw will be a big success over the next 10 seasons or so unfortunately. In that context the price is right... Great value over time. On current ability/deal however - it's a huge risk/investment! You've now spent how much money since things started to slide? Must be £100m by now. Is this ideal?
It was long over due to be honest. The fact that United were able to stay as dominant as they were against the "sugar daddy" clubs as we are called, without spending big, was a testament to how awesome SAF was at taking average players and turning them into a winning team. When SAF retired, it became all too apparant what Uniteds recipe for success had been since 2007, one man.............Sir Alex Ferguson. Anyone else that stepped in would have had to face spending £150m to get the squad up to date with Chelsea and City, Moyes didnt do that, hence why he failed hard. LVG has recognised that it needs to be done, and is doing it....which is why i think United will be back in the top 4 next season
So as suspected all this bollox about Southampton not going to sell, fee being 40 million etc was indeed bollox. He's gone for an inflated fee because he's English but ultimately the big club won out again.
You are a Liverpool fan are you not? Weve spent less than Liverpool in the PL era..... 13 titles 0 titles Were allowed a splurge. probably the only club ( arsenal? ) who can splash the cash and justify it.
