I dont think the people you have been seeing are bookies.
Because in the bookies I go to, you place a bet, then depending on the result of the bet, you win or lose.
So in your bookie, you make a bet, never find out the answer and just forget you have made the bet?! Im confused

This could go on all day, all players have seen the red mist descend and gone for it

Its not only Suarez who does a bad challenge. Headbutts and elbows with career ending challenges are all as bad as biting someone. And with more severe medical consequence too

Suarez the twat bit 3 times and got this. Anyone who headbutts and elbows or does career ending challenges 3 times should get the same at least, as its worse

Wont happen though as everyone knows how corrupt everything is

Do you agree an elbow, headbutt or career ending injury is as bad as a bite? I wonnt expect you to say worse as I know you wont even if you think it <yawn>

You have no idea of my opinion on that Essien challenge at the time or since so to label me a hypocrite has no basis whatsoever. Ridiculous post.

For the record it's a horrible challenge and not the only one Essien made in his career. His only bad trait though. Compare that to the too many to mention of Hannibal Suarez.....

Largely depends on intent. Elbows/bad challenges happen in pretty much every game and is an inevitable part of a contact sport. Anyone can mis-time a challenge and end a career and its something a professional footballer has to accept that there is always a risk when entering the field of play. Lots of elbows are not intent to hurt a player but often come from trying to protect the ball or leverage etc. If you can't understand they are worlds apart from biting someone (which should NEVER happen) then there's no helping you!!

Just compare how many biting incidents there have been in the last 10 years to bad challenges and you'll realise why this is viewed differently.

Obviously if there is clear intent to hurt an opponent then yes, longer bans should ensue and they should get more serious for repeat offenders.

    Pretty much!

It's pretty desperate to go googling for clips of bad challenges to defend rat boy who has a rap sheet as long as his teeth.

Saurez has done just about every scummy thing on the field of play, ergo he is a figure of hatred.

    Quite simple really mate!

All he's done throughout this entire debacle is dilute what Suarez did.

Yeah, whilst I feel for Liverpool being punished for his stupidity whilst playing for Uruguay, and feel that FIFA did pander somewhat, I also feel that Suarez is fully deserving of a lot of the derision he gets by rival fans......

    Diving,
    Faking injuries,
    Biting,
    the Evra thing,
trying to get opponents sent off etc

Its quite a repertoire of ugliness, despite his talent.

Most players have one of these flaws, he seems to have them all.

Physical challenges etc are part of the game.

Biting an opponent isn't the same as a bad challenge, it's in a totally different category.

All this wailing about his ban is utter bollocks.

What he did is as alien to the game as taking a ****e in the centre circle.

People were just open mouthed when they saw it, in the same way they'd be if he dropped his kecks and laid a Mr Whippy on the penalty spot.

It falls outside of what's 'normal' and is therefore dealt with as such
