If he's found guilty; regardless of what punishment the courts give him, would you expect the club to suspend as well?
Is that the case these days Woop? Tony Adams remained an Arsenal player, whilst he was in chokey, surely?
Stealing a toilet seat from B&Q and glassing someone in a nightclub - causing them physical and mental harm are two completely different things Ducky.
No that's not being biased at all if the guy did glass him then they have to prove the intent. If there was intent he deserves to be sent down. End of, no excuses. I too have had similar problems in Manchester in my younger days. I have two knife scars in my legs to prove it. Barstewards tried to mug me in the street, twice 3 months apart, and me in uniform. Silly beggars, on one occasion three of them actually accused me of trying to rob them!!!!!! Felt sorry for one of the blokes the second time during the scuffle he fell backwards and the knife stabbed him in the Ass right up to the hilt. To this day I still do not know how that happened honest!!! Not only that when it came to court it was his third time so he was sent down.
Well - sometimes justice is served through divine intervention, or whatever. I bet he'll never forget you ......... and the pain he will always have in his arse to remind him of his folly! Wouldn't have bothered feeling sorry for him though.
To be honest 3rd eye..... if you saw him jumping around with the knife sticking out of his rump, screaming his head off that he had been stabbed. It was all we could do not to laugh. It was just the seriousness of the situation that prevented that happening. Also we had to find a phone to phone for the police and ambulance for him. We had to walk him down the street with it sticking out of him. You daren't remove it, we were a bit lucky we managed to stop a taxi and they used the radio to bring the necessary aid. To be fair his mates didn't bugger off and leave him like they would today..
To be honest Beddytare - I'm not going to be able to stop laughing at the images you conjured up there. I think it was very good of you to help him out. And he got sent down as well! And they say there is no justice in this world!
Nice anecdote Ted, now bugger off back to your own scummers board and stop nicking my threads! No apology indeed!
Must admit to having my moments WD. In the lads cases previously though, It was their mis fortune to try it just after 12 weeks special training at Hereford. Now if you think of a matelot having just been in training at Hereford with all the crap that I had had to put up with during my time there. They just Kept picking on me on the wrong day's..........
Of course not - he was doing his bit in helping to modernise Fratton Park's toilets. You cannot compare Johnson's loo seat theft, with what that Barnard did with a beer glass surely ?
