Planning » Application Summary 14/00781/FULL | Installation of new floodlighting on 2 replacement (higher) floodlighting towers, and on new gantries under the stadium roof. | KC Stadium Anlaby Road Kingston Upon Hull HU3 6HU https://planningpublicaccess.hullcc...ils.do?activeTab=summary&keyVal=N7S4TRSO05400
Any idea who foots the bill for that? Council, a combination of council and tennants, tennants alone or City alone?
SMC !!! What's wrong with the current floodlights they seem good enough to me. Or is it for HD TV ???
It might be that we're getting a really high tech lighting system, that helps the growth of of the KC's pitch during the winter months
Just the lights I'm guessing? They're not changing the actual stands the floodlights are on are they?
Higher floodlights, sentry points, a fence a round the stadium. AA misunderstood when SB said he wants to make the KC a fortress.
lol ok that made me laugh. Might make some of the "sniper inspired" dives from the top 6 more interesting too.
I wonder if these up grades have taken into consideration any possible increase of capacity for the future?
Its more likely to do with the price of electricity. The existing floodlights are metal halide technology at 2000 Watts each. There are new LED stadium floodlights coming out rated at 750 watts which give the same light output. Therefore cutting your electricity bill by 62.5% The new installation will probably pay for itself in electricity saved within a couple of seasons.
If there owt like the ****ty low energy ones the mrs has stuck all over our house we'll see **** all on night matches.
or like the ones in mine, which take 35 minutes to light up a room upon switching on so, having a **** and missing the toilet is a common practice
If leccy bills are a problem they could perhaps stop having em turned on every night when the place is empty.
Not if they get a better way of doing things, need to encourage younger fans by giving them entry for say £10 plus this dynamic ticketing we could easily fill more seats. Of cause the Allams have got to stop alienating their own fans/customers. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/19716087
I'd like to see them give dynamic ticketing a go for a season and see what effect it has. Its been proven to increase attendance and revenue at other clubs, just what we need.
