He is a defender, as a defender he rarely gets beaten and when he does has the speed to recover. His tackles are perfect though he is sometimes out of position but his speed and strength gets him out of trouble. Has the biggest butt this side of the Mississippi so players have to run an extra 3 yards to get around it.
Scares defenders with his speed but has almost played 2 seasons and has only 1 assist and 0 goals. If he can up these stats then he would be a fantastic player.
Gets up well but you will see him sprinting 90 metres in the 89th minute to get into position
Some may bitch about the price, but in 2 years he will be considered a snip

 

Shaw wasn't the best left back in the league last year, but he does have the potential to become one.

I think United got Shaw at the expected price.

The player may be worth £20m to most top teams. Add 50% extra premium for United factor (desperation etc), no champions league, which means he would have cost £30m.

Same with Herera who is worth about the same: £20m. United paid £30m. This will continue to happen until United gets back into the CL...Fine by me

I may be eating my words in a couple of years, but even though you got him for considerably less than the ******ed asking price of some Saints fans on here, that still seems far too much for an 18 year old left back.
