Nonsense . He got off lightly. Third offence, in front of a world wide audience, 10 match ban for 2nd offence, no contrition, self justification, lying, no acknowledgement of severity of offence, pretending it is not abnormal and many other factors indicate that a 12 month total ban was justified.

But Blatter did not want to upset the South Americans. This ungrateful vile racist should never play football in this country <ok>

Uruguay should be thrown out of the tournament: that would get the message across.

Godin should not have been playing after his elbow on Stur.ridge and the two cheats combined to eliminate Italy.

Suarez should also be banned from the 2018 World Cup. He has ruined two, for Italy and Ghana, why should he have the chance to msbehave at a third.

Kids will copy his biting cheating racism. Is that want we want?

He deserves the ban and I would have settled for any decison, whether it have been more, the guy deserves it to be honest.

    But 'Convicted of Racism'??

Are you serious - You may want to look up the difference between being convicted of racism and being charged with racial abuse. Massive difference. <doh>

He was never convicted of racism <doh>

On a side note, the whole idea of being convicted of racism is ridiculous.
"You are not allowed to not like other races, prison with ya!!"
I wouldnt class myself as a racist but trying to control the way people think and enforcing it with prison sentences?
Thats some ol' Nazi type bull **** right there.

Isn't it sad that when a scouser starts losing the argument, they have to resort to foul and abusive language. You have to ask the question, would they use those obscenities in front of their own mother and father

Or more to the point, do they actually know who their father is?

nah mate your drivel is what it is, you see you hating a player does not increase his ban, I know that's hard for you to understand but it's true.

he's got a huge ban that will hurt him, he cant even train. Got what he deserved.

So stop talking ****e. You've no idea how long a ban should be and even less of a clue how to consider the problem.
You hate Suarez, I get it. The ban was huge and he deserved it. Nothing to add to that really

Keane was banned for 8 games and fined £170,000 back then for it. ( 3 game ban and £5k fine to start with ).

As for ending his career. Its not what haarland says so..... yeh <ok>

    Chiellini himself

"""Now inside me there's no feelings of joy, revenge or anger against Suarez for an incident that happened on the pitch and that's done," said the Juventus centre-back.

"There only remain the anger and the disappointment about the match. At the moment my only thought is for Luis and his family, because they will face a very difficult period.

"I have always considered unequivocal the disciplinary interventions by the competent bodies, but at the same time I believe that the proposed formula is excessive.

"I sincerely hope that he will be allowed, at least, to stay close to his team mates during the games because such a ban is really alienating for a player."

Some of you are more upset about the punishment than the actual bloke himself who thinks its too much, or is it just hot air?
