    <ok> this

In civvy street he could have been arrested, charged with ABH and been up before the judge - they should count how many teeth he has got in his gob and ban him on a month per tooth basis.......

If there's any accuracy in that, it's pathetic. And wouldn't that get the national side charged with bringing the game into disrepute too?

They'll only be dragging out his suspension further too.

I'm sure Adidas are reviewing their sponsorship deal with Grant Hardwick too.

i'm sorry, but how on earth are there still people defending that ****?

should have received a global ban of 12 months. the guy is a class act as a footballer but as a human being he is scum who, baring in mind the numerous chances he's now been gifted, has once again bitten (literally) the hand that feeds him.

if he did that in the street he'd have been locked up and if he did it three times the key would be thrown away.

What amused me was his grandmother claiming he'd been treated like a dog! I'd like to tell her that, if that were true, he would have been put down! <doh>

If the Football Authorities spent more time on the things that really mattered then the game would be in a far better state! Assaults on match officials at grassroots level is on the increase mainly carried out by parents! No wonder there is a huge shortage in qualified referees in this country. Instead we spend our time getting all worked up and hysterical over one little incident.

i think ridding the game of people biting their footballing counterparts registers fairly high, and rightly so, on any list of priorities.

there is absolutely no defence and he deserves to have the book thrown at him.

three times for **** sake!! three!!!!!!! its unbelievable. why and how can any sane person try and back him?

He's a flawed genius and the game would be a great deal poorer wihout guys like him!

Supremely talented but with inner demons.

Any fan of football would pay to watch him play! <ok>

That he's clearly a talented footballer is not in dispute. The fact that he's a ****ing animal, who ultimately could cost his country, as well as his club trophies and glory is totally inexcusable - however you try to disguise the fact.

He should be forced to repay Liverpool the wages they'll have to cough up during his period of self inflicted ineligibility <ok>
And banned from all forms of football for a year. <ok>

You would never have caught Iwan Roberts behaving like that <yikes>

It comes to something when the 4th ref has to check subs for studs, jewellery and vaccinations before they enter the field of play.

JWM, just to reduce myself to your level for a moment, some referees deserve to have the living daylights kicked out of them!

That is no more ridiculous than your continued defense of something that is worse than an animal!

I can understand you boys not liking Suarez as he has torn your team a new one many, many times! In fact it was so easy for him he didn't feel the need to bite!

He's one of the most gifted - and well paid footballers of all time. So if anybody can explain to me why he has to behave like a tag wrestler / Hannibal Lecter, then I'm ready to listen <doh>
