Question for you United fans: Do you think SAF would have been on board for this transfer if he was still manager?
United throwing crazy money around: £300k a week on no 10 Roon, £40m on no 10 Mata, £30m on Anders Who?, £30m on a LB, £30m on Fellaini. They are making the market impossible for clubs like City and Chelsea who try to build teams the right way without over-inflating prices
He has, but they have been exceptional players. I wouldnt put Shaw in that category tbh. I think he has the potential to be a great player, and he is a lot better than most 18 year olds who are shoved in to the first team. But I dont see the fuss, I really dont.
He's obviously not worth £34m atm, but nor is Anders who worth £30m, Fellaini £30m, or Roon worth 300k a week. I think LVG can build a decent team out of them. United fans seem to have no idea how though. There again, the pro Moyes crew were adamant that he would be a success but never provided any evidence why he would succeed
Do you think they are paying a premium now because they are not in the Champions League, and its not guaranteed they will qualify next year? I personally think they will get in the top 4 next season at the expense of Liverpool.
good one. I am sure the greedy Gs would have preferred not to have to splash so much for good players. The Fergie era when world class players could be got at bargain prices because of the fergie or United name or reputation has gone. If these extra millions mean United get back into the CL then it would have been money well spent. The greedy Gs have recognised that. They are only doing what I have said was necessary when fergie retired.
The GGs are spending huge amounts to ensure that this happens. I think the obvious ones targetted would be the RS and Arsenal. Especially the RS without the racist and to expect him to do the same as last season would be totally unrealistic even IF he stays. Thats a big if. He has done everything he can to antagonise English football fans with his gloating at the WC
Personally think Arsenal will drop out of the top 4 if we get back in. Surprised Chelsea fans are questioning prices!! At least it's money coming from Manchester United, you know dam well the glazers wouldn't spend there own money.
Daily mail ( i know ) say he'll cost 31.5 million - http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...ion-deal-make-expensive-teenager-history.html
Depends if Arsene pulls his thumb outta his ass and actually gets some decent signings, and spends some frikkin cash for once. History suggests no.....and before matth says "Mesut Ozil says hi......" that seemed like a one off placation purchase to shut up some of the more vocal fans who were getting at him for not spending. Will be really interesting to see what type of forward player he signs, because if he sticks with Giroud, who is decent, but decidedly unremarkable, they will lose out again. They scored less goals than us last year, and our 3 strikers scored a huge 19 goals between the 3 of them (£70 odd million of talent at work ladies and gents).
