Could replace carrick as the season before last he played as a number 6. Hes good anywhere in midfield it seems so good for van gaal who likes midfielders to be mobile and have variety.

It seems the going rate for any player these days who isnt under 17 or plays in Egypt or somewhere like that, is pretty much 25m+. Actually more like: Defenders: 15-25m Midfielders: 20-40m Strikers: 35-50m It does seem crazy, I keep seeing, club X has signed player Y for £27.6m and Im like "Who the f**k is he?" Admittedly in this case I dont know the player because dont watch Gay Liga, but it still holds.
Is he a number 8? UIR seems to think he played no 6 last season. Where does he play? Does ANYONE know anything about this £30m mystery player? Do any United fans know where this guys plays? Is he the most expensive uncapped player in history?
6 8 and 10 londons. He says his best is number 8. Biesla played him as a 6 the season before last. Played as a ten last season. Hes a playmaker. Basically.
From what I do know of him is he's got high levels of energy and stamina, he's not afraid to get stuck in with a tackle. He's more of a playmaker than outright attacking midfielder. He can play defensive or further forward depending on what's required of him. Everything sounds like he's a good buy but I don't know enough about him personally. Hopefully he'll turn out to be a great buy, the coaches and scouts must think so.
Surely you will have to play him deeper than no 10 to accommodate Mata, Rooney, Kagawa etc... When LVG plays 433, does he play a no 10: where does Sneijder go, for example? He played 3412 v Spain... for United maybe Mata behind Roon and RVP with Shaw fullback and Herrera deeper?
I think Herrera will play the 6 or 8 role, we don't need any more number 10's but Herrera can play further back, I think he's supposed to be best a bit further back.
I really do hope this is a genuine LVG approved transfer rather than a hangover from Moyes where there was an agreement in principle for us to buy the player in this window. I would hate to think that £28mill has been lost from the kitty because Woodward committed us to something in the last window.

Never claimed to have seem him play. Im just judging him by the stats that ive seen - and theyre not very impressive. You couldve got Fabregas for the same price
