It's just people taking a break between matches. It's full up again now (some corporates do sod off quite early in the afternoon and you can buy their tickets after they've gone). The worst bit about Wimbledon is definitely the day-trippers though. Court 3 has about 1/3 unreserved seating (queue to get in) and 2/3 for debenture holders (half empty). Wozniaki was getting pissed off with some guy shouting in a hospitality tent behind court 12 on Monday and then stated she was happy to be back on the show courts when she beat Broady yesterday. It amazes me how many people sit there and spend the entire day either looking at their phone or muttering away to each other like they're at a garden party. We could do with another "people's Sunday" although, with centre court now having a roof, that may never happen again.
That Broady has an interesting back-story. Dropped by the LTA after a (not very) naughty photo emerged from a night out when she was 17, she has ploughed on since without funding – and on yesterday's evidence the poor lass can't even afford to buy a bra.

Toldyouso Thing is though, without the day trippers, the place would be emptier than Carmine's wallet when its his round. It would be sparser than the top of Chazz's head. Its no wonder there's no genuine good English players the way the sport is run. The AETC makes the FA and PL look good for the development of the English game and players. Wimbledon is just a once a year thing, make a ****e load of money for a select few in the upper echelons of our society and the area they live in. People go to see it not because they love or even like tennis, it's purely because its "Wimbledon" and its "British", like visiting a tourist attraction. A fair number of those who claim to be tennis fans, only do that because they think its a requirement for their middle England lives, along with golf, garden parties and stupid sarnies with the crusts cut off. When you think about it, Wimbledon is a marketing masterpiece.
