Koke (Athleti) and Herrera both played in Spain U23s in 2012. Koke (2.5 years younger) got a full cap but Herrera has not played for Spain since. Where does he play: holding or CM?? Does anyone on the United board know anything about this midfielder who cost more than FAbregas
A number 8 with great passing and tackling abilities. Not a full international but doesnt really go against him. Played as a number 10 quite often last season but had the best tackling stats in la liga from all midfielders. In his time hes bossed barcelona, real and uniteds midfields. As ive said hes highly rated and his transfer fee is based on his buy out clause. You have to pay it to obtain basque players. Is he better than fab? Cant really say he is but barcelona wantes rid of him and bilbao wanted to keep herrera. Im happy enough. Not seen him much before but from what others have said, weve got ourselves a quality player.
A midfielder that has scored 12 goals in 171 league games. Definitely not worth 30m. Also consider the fact hes pushing 25 with nothing to show for his career, not even a call up to Spain. You lot need to stop overrating him and just wonder whether or not he will be good. Admit it is a bit of a gamble, not a good signing that you all needed. If you had signed someone like Fabregas or Vidal then yeah, good quality stuff but imo youve simply gone and signed another Kagawa.

On paper its a quality team. Shame the manager last season was an idiot. Could have seen them be a real force in this years europa league
